Ellen Degeneres will have her American Idol debut tonight as she takes over for Paula Abdul in the judge’s chair. 

We hear there was some friction with Simon Cowell early and often and if we do watch it, it will be for that reason only.   Will the chemistry be the same or will this be a worse replacement than Conan was for Leno? 

So, I ask you this as the dust has settled on the whole Paula thing, will you watch American Idol tonight with Ellen or be like Drew Brees and pass?-Dr.FB

Adam Lambert was on Ellen telling his side of the story of the American Music Awards performance and said MAYBE it wasn’t the best thing to do as a 2nd impression for people who saw him on American Idol.

Now, was he being sincere or is this damage control? What do you think?-Dr.FB

Oprah Winfrey announced something yesterday that she has been saying she will do for years; leave her talk show.

Oprah will make the official announcement today on her show, which is the last show of the year.  Oprah will be announcing that the last show will be on September 9th, 2011.  The date is important as it will be 25 years since Oprah started doing the show.

Earlier this week, some stations were saying they were not going to re-up the Oprah show as the fee that is charged by her Harpo production company is just too much for them to handle.

She is laying the ground for Dr. Oz to take over her time slot with stations.  Oprah has done a lot for TV and some say even swayed votes for Obama when he was running against Hillary Clinton for the Democratic ticket.

I wonder what Ellen thinks of this news?-Dr.FB

“It was announced this week that Ellen Degeneres will be replacing Paula Abdul.

“Ellen seems confident about replacing Paula but, I don’t know, she’s got some pretty big prescriptions to fill.”

Wow. Fox has just announced that Ellen Degeneres is now the permanent 4th judge on American Idol and is replacing Paula Abdul.

Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, what’s her face and Ellen. Wow.

Ellen will be a judge for the next 5 years. Ellen has already released a statement:

“I’m thrilled to be the new judge on AMERICAN IDOL,” said DeGeneres. ”I’ve watched since the beginning, and I’ve always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I’ll save from not having to text in my vote.”

There are reports that Lindsay Slowhands Lohan & Samantha Ronson were spotted together as recently as late Wed night. 

Perhaps hearing the reports of Lindsay’s interview with Ellen made her change her mind?  We will see if this is just to see if they could get back together or if they do get back together.-Dr.FB

When you see the performance n set up, it will make more sense and was a great performance and look from the purple one. That guitar was too sweet.-Dr.FB
