Chace Crawford will not be getting "Footloose" for the 80's remake.   Crawford has dropped out of the role that Zac Efron previously dropped out of.

Chace is saying it is his busy schedule that caused him to drop out but since Kenny Ortega left the project last year to work with Michael Jackson for his "This Is It" tour, which unfortunately never happened, things haven't been the same and Chace is doing the right thing by abandoning the project.

It's not like we need another 80's remake getting ruined.  I think The Karate Kid remake this year will do that all by itself.-Dr.FB

"This Is It" producer Dannie Ortega and Katie Holmes were a few of the stars that came out for the "Dizzy Feet" charity event at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday.

I was invited to the event that is  “to help underprivileged young people realize their dream of becoming professional dancers.” but had to pass.  This was the first year for the Nigel Lythgoe event for the Dizzy Feet Foundation but I am told it will be an annual event.

Hopefully, my schedule next time will be clear.  I did want to speak with Nigel and Katie and did want to have a not so heated conversation with Ortega about a few MJ related things but that can wait for another time.

Paramount Pictures is pushing foward fast the Footloose remake with Zac Efron.  This was announced last year and perhaps Paramount was waiting to see what High School Musical 3 would do at the box office. Well, it is ready to go.

Holy Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon!  The director of High School Musical 3 Kenny Ortega is set to direct the updated version.  Craig Zaden, who produced the original Footloose way back in 1984, will be producing this one as well.

I am still more curious as to see if they will have the soundtrack be covers of the songs off the first movie, or come up with all new songs for the new version.  That soundtrack in the 80's was totally tubular to the max, man.  For reals now tho, Zac has def really arrived as a major box office draw n his star power at this time has no limits.  Not only that, he is also making that Vanessa girl walk funny, right?-Dr.FB
