End The Lockout! NBA Owner Marc Cuban Covers “Purple Rain”
OK, we need to end the NBA lockout...NOW! Marc Cuban covering "Purple Rain" by Prince is making us beg for the owners and players to reach an agreement.
The owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks and hopefully future owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers Marc Cuban hit a local bar last night and instead of us giving us a mouthful of purple badness....and I mean badness in the bad sense.
At 2:17 he makes me shake my head. At 2:34 his friend hits notes that made dogs cover their ears in a 50 mile radius.
Kobe. Kevin. Mr. Stern. Mr. Cuban. Please end the lockout now. My ears cannot take anymore. Please. I rather hear Prince gloating over a Kevin Garnett dunk over Kobe Bryant then hear any other NBA player or owner cover him.
Having to hear Marc Cuban say "Come on, get nast!?" is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
Don't get me wrong Marc. I still want you to buy the Dodgers, but please, put the microphone down.-DocFB
Diagnosis: We get this but not Dave Grohl and Prince jamming? Seriously?

Lakers Versus Celtics: One For The Ages Fo’ Sure

The Los Angeles Lakers are playing the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, just in case you haven't heard.
Paul Pierce has thrown down the gauntlet saying Laker games are too filled with celebrities and not enough real fans. Paul has to know that those thousand of dollar floor seats, the real Laker fans cannot afford, so on the note, he needs to shut it.
Kobe's legacy is on the line. If he cannot beat this team, it will go down with all his accolades. No one is worried about Paul Pierce's or Kevin Garnett's legacy. Even with 4 rings, Kobe doesn't win this, it's going down in the history books.
J.A. Andade has picked the Celtics to win in 6 and I am kind of surprised. A lot of experts are looking at the Lakers as the underdogs and if the Lakers do win, it will be in 7.
I know a few Laker fans that are refusing to watch the series because Boston has a 9-2 Finals record against L.A.
Me? You all know I have been waiting all season for this and will actually watch the game all the way through.
What I want to know is, who do you got?-Dr.FB

The Boston Celtics Eliminate The Bulls In Memorable Playoff Series

The Boston Celtics eliminated the Chicago Bulls from the playoffs after a great playoff series.
You are not beating Boston at the Garden when it is game 7. Said it all along. Now, the Celtics will play the Orlando Magic on Monday night. Will Orlando step up or sleep walk like they did against the 76ers in game 1 of the first round where they got spanked? I will be looking forward to Monday as well as my Los Angeles Lakers take on the Houston Rockets.
Tune in Monday. Us? We have a fight to cover and P. Diddy already beat us to our seat.-Dr.FB

The Cavs moved on. The Lakers moved on. The rest...well, it's kind of weird.
I did say that the Mavs would beat San Antonio. I just did not know they would dismantle them. Denver laying the smackdown on the Hornets by 58. The Hornets say it's just one game. True, but only one team won a series after getting beat that bad. They got beat so bad, Chris Brown took credit for it.
These playoffs have been exciting by teams thinking they could sleep walk thru a series. Yes, Orlando and Miami, I am talking about you. Orlando will & has recovered, Miami will not. Houston is about to eliminate Portland and move out of the first round without you know who, who can't get out of a first round.
The most exciting series hands down has been the Boston Celtics versus the Chicago Bulls. 3 over times in 3 games? Seriously? Another one last night that went the Celtics way with Ray Allen fouled out, Garnett in street clothes and Powe out for the season. This series was the most exciting. The Bulls may force a game 7 with a win on Thursday, but you are not beating Boston in a game 7 at the Garden. Not. Gonna. Happen. Not even Jordan did it.
As the Lakers and Cavs sit and wait, I will make this second round prediction; The Mavs will beat the Nuggets in the 2nd round to face the Lakers after L.A. knocks off the Rockets. Take it to Vegas baby.-Dr.FB

Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale also took in the Laker game last night.
Other stars in attendance were Dr.funkenberry fav's Denzel Washington, Alyssa Milano, Spike Lee (non too happy about the Knicks loss) Chris Rock (who gave props to Trevor Ariza (Laker player) after the game as well as the before mentioned Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgons. Not spotted by us but we hear Leo Di Caprio & David Beckham were there as well.
This celeb crowd is just a warm up for the big game December 25th at Staple Center between the Lakers & The Celtics, a rematch of last years NBA Finals. It pains me to say this but I think my Lakers are overhyped and Kevin Garnett and Boston will come in and win. I hope they prove me wrong but right now, Boston is the better team.-Dr.FB
