Wow. President Obama's team really went there. They are using Big Bird in a new political ad against Mitt Romney. This ad is real and it is official.
Obama clearly was out-debated last week. Even if he did have his mind on getting his wife Michelle an anniversary gift like Saturday Night Live joked, he was not on his game. Romney made waves that night for his comments on Big Bird. Make no mistake, Romney won. But just to make sure Big Bird maybe has one more late night appearance in him, they used Big Bird with permission from PBS and Sesame Street.
If this was The Daily Show or Kimmel doing a fake ad, I would have found this hilarious. It being a real ad, I'm not so sure if it is that funny. This will get play and joked on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report and if they were the ones who made it, I would be impressed. Since it is his team however, not so much.
Hopefully Obama comes prepared for the next debate or his next political ad may feature Oscar The Grouch!-DocFB
This is all people will remember about the first debate between President Obama and Governor Romney: Big Bird.
Sesame Street is more important than Wall Street.-DocFB
Both President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney will be appearing on the opening segment of the Country Music Awards Tonight. The show is being hosted by Toby Keith and Kristen Bell.
Political candidates have made appearances on the CMT MUSIC AWARDS in the past. In 2008, Republican presidential candidate John McCain, and Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama all taped cameos as a part of the show’s open. With this year’s Presidential race in full swing, both Obama and Romney immediately accepted the offer to appear on CMT.
“The President and Governor Romney each understand the reach of the CMT audience, particularly on our highest-rated night of the year,” said Brian Philips, President, CMT. “They’re each great sports, they’re ‘in on the joke’, and they each went out of their way to deliver great moments for CMT. Tune in at the top of the show or you’ll miss them!”
Hmm. This should be interesting. The celebrity President aka the POTUS, and the billionaire reaching out to Country Music fans. Wonder if both will try to sing.-DocFB
Don't quit your day job, Mitt Romney. While In Iowa, Mitt Romney did a Kim Kardashian joke that was somewhat Leno-esque.
He was taking a stab at President Obama and then threw Kim in there for good measure. The joke?
"I've been looking at some video clips on YouTube of President Obama, then candidate Obama, going through Iowa making promises. The gap between his promises and his performance is the largest I've seen since, well, the Kardashian wedding and the promise of ’til death do us part.
Youch! I'm not sure if anyone else likes the joke but his wife, Ann Romney did.
"I got a kick out of that. It was pretty funny. He likes to have fun."
Well, I'm glad he did the joke because, if Rick Perry was telling it, we would still be waiting for the punch-line.-DocFB
Diagnosis: He should have saved that joke for his appearance on Saturday Night Live.....
