New Years Eve will never be the same. Dick Clark, America's oldest teenager, has died of a heart attack at the age of 82.
Paul Shefrin, Clark's spokesman, broke the story of his passing, stating that Clark had a massive heart attack this morning. He died at St. John's hospital here in Los Angeles, where he was having outpatient surgery last night.
Clark was a diabetic type 2, which helped contribute to the stroke in 2004.
Clark had a massive stroke in 2004 but continued to host "New Years Rocking Eve" adding Ryan Seacrest on as co-host. "Eve" was created in 1972.
Along with "Eve", Dick Clark created and hosted American Bandstand, the pop equivalent to "Soul Train" where such artists as Madonna and Prince made their Television debuts. He also was behind the Golden Globes and produced several other shows including The American Music Awards.
Dick Clark will be missed and remembered for what he did for the music world. It is quite sad to me that we lost Clark and Don Cornelius in the same year.-DocFB
Diagnosis: We are going hopping.....
Comedian Patrice O'Neal died at the age of 41 Monday night due to a diabetic stroke he had in October.
His friends at "The Opie And Anthony Show" confirmed he passed away. His booking agent, Matt Frost, released this statement:
"It is with terrible sadness we must report that Patrice O’Neal has passed away this morning at 7:00am due to the complications of the stroke he suffered on October 19.
Many of us have lost a close and loved friend; all of us have lost a true comic genius. His mother, who was also his best friend, was at his side. Patrice is survived by his wife, Vondecarlo; his step daughter Aymilyon, sister Zinder, and his mother Georgia.
The family wishes to thank all of the fans and friends who have expressed an outpouring of love and support for Patrice these past weeks. We ask that you please respect the family’s request for privacy at this difficult time."
Patrice was popular for his unique stand-up routine and was a fixture on several roast specials. On the roasts, they would make fun of Patrice for his diabetes, which a lot of friends did not feel he took seriously, and would joke about his death. His death is no joke......and neither is diabetes.-DocFB
Diagnosis: Another big man gone too soon....
Clemons helped shape the sound and image of Bruce Springsteen, being an integral part of Bruce's band, the E Street Band. Clemons also had a pop resurgence of late, performing with Lady Gaga and being in her latest video, "The Edge Of Glory", which came out earlier this week.
Clemons has been in pain for several years, suffering from back and hip issues along with having double knee replacement surgery shortly before performing with Bruce at the Super Bowl in 2009.-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: The Big Man Will Be Missed
Bruce Springsteen, who rarely speaks to the media, released a statement about his good friend and E Street Band member Clarence Clemons.
Bruce released this statement;
By now, many of you have heard that our beloved comrade and sax player Clarence Clemons has suffered a serious stroke. While all initial signs are encouraging, Clarence will need much care and support to achieve his potential once again. He has his wonderfully supportive wife, Victoria, excellent doctors and health care professionals, and is surrounded by friends and family.
I thank you all for your prayers and positive energy and concern. This is a time for us all to share in a hopeful spirit that can ultimately inspire Clarence to greater heights.
-- Bruce Springsteen
It sounds like Clarence is improving but they don't want you to think he is out of the woods yet. We will continue praying.-Dr.FB

There is not further info at this time. We are sending prayers to Clemons and his family at this time of need and hope he gets well soon. 69 is not that old my man.-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: You're A Friend Of Mine
Bret Michaels is back in the hospital where he suffered a "warning" stroke. Bret was complaining of numbness on the left side of his body and was admitted to an undisclosed hospital.
The doctors had found that Bret has a Patent Forum Oval, a hole in his heart. They say the stroke and hole in his heart is not due to his brain hemorrhage from last month.
Bret is ecpected to make a full recovery. Maybe pushing yourself for rehab to get back on tour may not have been the best thing. It's great to be a fighter Bret, but this time take it easy.
Our prayers are with you.-Dr.FB
