No Doubt just confirmed DrFunkenberry's story of yesterday that No Doubt will not be touring this year while they work on a new album.
Our source is very much on the inside but we also confirmed with Live Nation so when we published the story, we would not have them denying our story even though it was true.
No Doubt released an official statement today from the studio:
Greetings from the studio in Los Angeles...Yes, that's right, the studio!
While we were traveling the world last year promoting Push And Shove, Gwen mentioned she was inspired to write new music. In December, around the time of our hometown shows, we discussed the idea of starting 2013 by getting back into the studio together. We did so in January and the new music started flowing with unexpected ease. After spending three years recording the last album, this new pace feels incredibly exciting.
We have decided to follow our muse for the time being and focus on this new music that we don't want to stop. So, we will be postponing our tour plans briefly while we endeavor to create something special and inspired. Our goal as a band is to share this new music with you as quickly as possible - both recorded and live on tour.
As always, thank you all for your kind words, incredible support and patience. We promise to keep you updated with photos and videos from the studio, so be sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram to get the latest updates. We will see you soon!
Gwen, Tony, Tom, Adrian
The good news in all of this is MORE new music from No Doubt. I just hope that Interscope promotes the next record better. Yes, I said it. No Doubt was everywhere from the Teen Choice Awards to Kimmel. Everywhere. Interscope dropped both balls on "Push & Shove" big time.
No Doubt also has to make sure announcements for singles, performances, and even photos from the studio get out first in other places besides their Facebook Fan Page, Twitter, and Instagram. As much as that hits the hardcore fans, it is missing the others and a chance for their audience to grow. The Facebook Fanpage is the worst for artists because with Facebook trying to use their own search engine, the information rarely hits google anymore. It is frustrating as a fan of No Doubt and good music.
Here is hoping for some great new music to come from No Doubt and here is hoping that Dr.Funkenberry and the No Doubt community can help with that new music. We all would LOVE to see that.-DocFB
Diagnosis: Don't need to Push & Shove to get a hold of me ND. Just saying.
After releasing 2 solo albums in 10 years and countless movies, Justin Timberlake is ready to return to the music scene.
In a minute segment, Justin talks about his love for music, all while leading us into a studio which leads to him putting on headphones and letting an engineer and at the same time, us, know: I'm ready!"
Justin is letting it be known he will be releasing a new album "Soon" but no preview single or a release date for the album as of yet.
Timberland has been working with Justin in the studio from Mid-August last year til now. The album is rumored to have at lease 20 new tracks on it.
We will be looking forward to it. With new material from Prince, David Bowie, and now Justin Timberlake, it does look like 2013 is a going to be a BIG one musically.-DocFB
Diagnosis: Not done with music.....by a long shot....
It's around 6:30 in the morning right now. I left the recording studio in Los Angeles with Andy Allo and some funky people a short time ago. I was able to hear some "Superconductor" tracks for the first time and full versions of songs. Long story, short, I was digging them.
I will go into further depth into the tracks and the things that transpired there but the Dr. has an appointment with the sandman right now.
From what I remember, there was some table tennis playing, somewhat one-sided mind you, some grooving in the studio, and getting deep into music, from the personal side to the business side.
It was a cool night and I will get deeper later but wanted to share what I could before I get a little rest. One problem though; those grooves on "Superconductor" may be playing in my head while it is laying on my pillow.
Might need to play some Sade to put me to sleep or something.-DocFB
We were playfully tweeting with a friend last week about No Doubt releasing their new CD in the Fall....of 2045. So when we heard they were setting a release date, I wasn't holding my breath. Big mistake! Huge!
No Doubt not only said the new CD will be released on September 25th, but also released studio footage of them recording "Push & Shove" a new song with Major Lazer and Busy Signal.
I feel like a little fan boy right now. Yes, I just squeeled after watching the video again. Love seeing behind the scenes footage of stuff like this.
Since I was so late on this news, I think I might have to release a special unreleased remix of "Hollaback Girl" to make it up to the No Doubt fans. Coming sooner than U think!
Finally, No Doubt's 6th studio CD is coming out September 25th!-DocFB
Green Day is back in the studio working on a new album. They provided a brief clip of them recording on the first day back.
The band has been working on new material for the better half of a year. They included a song called "Amy" about Amy Winehouse in a few California secret shows last year. No word yet on if that song will be on this album, although how could it not?
So, here is a very, very brief clip of Green Day in the studio and welcome more footage as it becomes available.....-DocFB
Gwen Stefani was spotted outside the recording studio with her beautiful baby son Zuma yesterday. They soon entered the studio together. We are told No Doubt is taking a break from recording for a few weeks. Shakes head.
You know what I want? I want photos of Gwen INSIDE the studio with Tony and Adrian and everyone! I want to hear a snippet of the new recordings going on. I don't care for outside shots no matter how adorable her and Tony's and Adrian's kids are. I love you guys but we need more!
We don't want those grainy close-up shots posted on the Facebook Fan Page. We don't want one shot of Tony playing bass. We want a shot of you all together. Clear shots. Like the one above. We want a little video footage. A smidge. Maybe a little sample of what the new No Doubt record is going to sound like.
When you guys come back to record, I will even go there and record it myself and take photos. yea, that's it. It is a tough job but someone has to do it. Me and someone from BeaconStreet or something! BTW, The BeaconStreet web site does have some cool shots of them in the studio but it is not enough. Will it ever be?
So Gwen and the boys, think about the offer. N please give us something soon!-Dr.FB

Wow. This is cool. Andy Allo just posted this track to her Facebook Page and it is something else! It is Prince and Andy doing an acoustic version of his song "Guitar" with Andy on lead and Prince backing her up.
Hmm. We wonder where it was recorded with Andy on tour with Prince. Backstage? On stage? In a studio? Aww, who cares! As long as we get to hear it. Check out Prince and Andy performing an acoustic version of "Guitar" below!
Do us a favor and JOIN Andy Allo's Facebook Fan Page for more goodies!
Don't forget to JOIN Dr.Funkenberry's Facebook Fan Page As well!-Dr.FB

Lady Gaga gave Cher more than just a whiff of her meat dress when they met last year for the first time. Cher revealed all via her Twitter account late last night. She was in the recording studio recording the first song from her upcoming CD and revealed it was a song that Lady Gaga gave to her.
The song is called "The Greatest Thing" and it is a CD that Gaga did and gave it to Cher to record. Cher could not hold her excitement anymore. What did the "If I Could Turn Back Time" and "Life After Love" singer have to say?
Cher tweeted; "LADY GAGA YOU ARE THE GREATEST THING TO ME"
Cher let it be known it is not a duet between her and Lady Extravaganza as some thought she was in the recording studio with Gaga. She said she would love to do a duet with Gaga however.
Cher said that Gaga gave her a GREAT song and she is very excited. We are looking forward to hearing it!-Dr.FB

What an NBA All Star Weekend Lenny Kravitz had. Performance time during the actual NBA All Star Game to his song "Come On Get It" being released on I-Tunes, which is the NBA's theme song this year.
Friday night however, Lenny Kravitz was in the studio with Swizz Beatz, and Drake. We are hearing it is more than a late night hang as well! Hmm.
We hope to hear more about it soon. Could you imagine what that track would sound like with Lenny, Swizz, and Drake all together? Man!
For now, you can download the new track from Lenny Kravitz "Come On Get it" on I-Tunes.-Dr.FB
