Maceo Parker did an interview with Tavis Smiley & Dr. Cornel West and talked about James Brown, what James calling him out meant and other stories. He shared stories on finding recording studios for James and how "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag" came to be. Maceo also talks about the first and only time he met Michael Jackson. They also talked about the future of funk and Maceo's answer is interesting. It is obvious that FUNK is going nowhere and it is where the party is. Maceo's new project is called "98% Funky Stuff" and U should check it out! To listen to the FULL interview with Maceo, click on the continue reading button below!
