"The Colbert Report" suspended operations last Wednesday with no real reason why. Comedy Central stated that it would be in repeats until further notice. Stephen Colbert returned to the show Monday and addressed why he was away.
Why did Stephen leave the show mid-week? Click The continue reading button below.
Michael Stipe of R.E.M., Brian Eno, and Stephen Colbert took on "Lean On Me" on Stephen's show "The Colbert Report" recently.
Stipe was on to promote the final album of R.E.M. and decided to end the show by doing "Lean On Me" with Brian Eno.
It was a cool moment and a song I was grooving on back in the day.-DocFB

Face it, it's Stephen's world and we are just living in it.-Dr.FB

Prince performed 2 shows at Montreux over the weekend as we told you first a while ago. From what we have seen, it was a success. Would we expect anything less from him?
He did 2 90 minute shows and a few songs twice. Rumor and rumor only has it right now that the songs were done twice for a possible DVD release. Wait...what happened to that Coachella DVD? Well, we will see.
Prince performed classic tracks as well as new ones from his latest 3 CD set. Heck, for good measure, he even did 2 songs off his protege's CD.
Prince was also all over pop culture this week. From a mention on "The Colbert Report" on Monday to 2 mentions on ESPN's Espy Awards. Samuel L. Jackson even dressed up as Prince during the award show, circa the Purple Rain era with purple studded jacket and wearing those "I Would Die 4 U" pants. Mr. Jackson. Whew. Later in the show, Quarterback superstar Peyton Manning pretended to have a conversation with Prince over the phone.
Even the Home Run Derby had a Princely moment with Prince Fielder won the Home Run Derby with some music by, you guessed it, Prince playing. Not to mention every tacky sports journalist using a Prince metaphor on that night's news cast.
Prince, the pop culture icon and the Montreux funk man, all in one.-Dr.FB
Stephen Colbert debuted his newly shaved head on CNN today making a special appearance with someone in the military who is also a principal and was giving his speech to his students.
President Obama appeared over satellite and ordered Stephen Colbert to get his head shaved. In front of a roomful of troops and a General, Colbert was not going to back down. The Colbert Report records in Iraq this week and airs this week, despite reports elsewhere.
Colbert debuts shortly (not just his hair) after the :56 second mark. He doesn't look as bad with a shaved head as I thought. Stephen's show, the Colbert Report, is filming in Iraq this week to air this week. Whatever you do, please don't make Jon Stewart shave his head. He would def look ugly with that look.-Dr.FB
Stephen Colbert is launching "Operation: Humble Kanye" to spark sales of his Christmas CD to hopefully dethrone Kanye from the top spot of I-Tunes Album chart.
I am sure Kanye will respond in some way shape or form. Peep the vid.-Dr.FB
Prince has been all over recently. For good and bad. The bad first. From being heavily misquoted in the New Yorker to a lawsuit from Revelations, the perfume maker of the 3121 fragrance, which Universal Music has already said the lawsuit is without merit.
Also, he has been all over in good ways. A cartoon Prince was made on The Simpsons 2 weeks ago, A Family Guy Prince aired last sunday, countless mentions of Prince on the Colbert Report with Stephen Colbert, and to top it all off, a Prince tribute band, "Purple Reign" performed on The Late Show With David Letterman last Monday. Can you say Pop Icon?
Prince has been all over L.A. recently. Well, not exactly Prince but these poster's are popping up all over L.A. as his book 21 Nights is getting a 2nd promotional push.
The book, which covers his 21 nights in London from last year's o2 Arena show's also has a CD on the inside of various after show's and is entitled Indigo Nights. The book has sold well so far and has made the New York Times Best Seller List.
I don't know about you, but I am diggin the orange font and design for the 21 Nights writing in this poster. I don't know why.
We hope the people so gracious enough to provide us with the photo will hopefully provide us with some posters for giveaway.
Also, as we told you here before, Prince invited Big Boy & The Power 106 crew over to his house for dinner and to listen to some new songs that Prince was working on. It appears Big Boy & Crew are tight-lipped but we were able to find out some info we will share when we have more details. It was easier when Big Boy was really a big boy, because all you would have to do is buy him a steak and he would talk. Needless to say, Big Boy n crew did not talk but we still got the info for ya. (BTW, Big Boy, you know I am joking.)
Hopefully, we will have more information as it becomes available about that. Until then, back to the limo pookie!-Dr.FB
P.S. The reason I am not posting the info we got is because the person is someone I have not delt with before. I rather wait and be right then post asap and be wrong. Until I have more concrete info, it will be kept under the covers.
