Miss Christina Aguilera attended the Time 100 Gala last night in New York City looking absolutely beautiful and stunning.
The no sleeve look just looks glamorous on her. Wonder if she has found another "Candyman" yet....?
There are several things that we know for sure; she has more than a powerful voice!-DocFB
Diagnosis: My, My, My.....
Justin Timberlake attended the Time 100 Gala with his beautiful bride Jessica Biel.
Jessica looks amazing and Justin looks like he is growing his hair out a little bit.-DocFB
Diagnosis: Let's be real. She makes him look good.
Prince played the Time 100 event last night in New York and then headed over to the Villiage Underground to do an impromptu 45 minute set.
Prince was rehearsing at the Villiage Underground earlier in the day we are being told and Prince most likely played their tonight to thank them for letting them rehearse there.
The ENTIRE after show was streamed online at Thevillageunderground.com and Prince must have had some idea he was being filmed by them and with all the camera phones in the audience as he played a majority of the show with his back to the crowd.
Prince is rocking a shorter 'do nowadays and ran thru a set that we heard consisted of "I Feel 4 U" and "Controversy" along with a few songs by his 8 piece band.
This was totally unannounced and no extra money was made by Villiage Underground even though the baddest man on the planet was rocking their stage.
The Time gala event earlier in the night featured a short set by Prince and the band with Shelby J. singing "Angel" a cover tune by Sarah McLachlan. We will keep you updated if we hear and see more.-Dr.FB
P.S. below is a video sent in by pelicankiss of a new guitarist in Prince's band, Quinton Dean, and I am adding it to this story. Thank you PK.
We can confirm the NY Post rumor from a couple of weeks ago that Prince is set to play the Time 100 Gala this Tuesday, May 4th in New York City.
Prince will be doing a special set specifically for the Time 100 Most Influential People Of The Year Issue event, which he is a part of even though it's only the middle of the year.
It has almost been a year since we lost Michael Jackson and people have gravitated towards Prince as the only one of his kind left (long overdue); the ultimate musician and performer alive. He may not have done alot since MJ's passing but as a fellow colleague said, "Prince is on the list basically just for being Prince & that is a 100 percent justified."
It is a private press event, so any footage we obtain from it, we will share with you. As we told you before, Prince is set to be the cover story of Ebony magazine's June issue, which should be hitting newsstands (They still have those?) very shortly.
Congrats to Prince on being part of the list. Now how about that live DVD, buddy? -Dr.FB
The NY Post is reporting that Prince will perform at Time Magazine's 100 Gala where they will honor their list of the 100 most influential people. We still have yet to confirm this appearance (it is the NY Post, y'all...).
The May 4th event, which takes place at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City, will also feature singer Taylor Swift and comedian Andy Samberg of SNL.
Time's issue with the 100 list hits newsstands next week, but you can see the list online here. Categories include Leaders & Revolutionaries, Heroes & Pioneers, Scientists & Thinkers, Builders and Titans, and Artists & Entertainers.
Prince isn't on the list but other musicians that made it include Bruce Springsteen, Mariah Carey, and Herbie Hancock.
#1 on the list of Artists & Entertainers? Lorne Michael of SNL. Ahem, ok. - Dr.FB
