I truly thought Adam was gonna win A.I. But, if you think about it, once Danny Gokey was gone who were his fans going to vote for? Obviously Kris would be the next reasonable choice. As awesome as Adam is, I think people either loved him or hated him – no gray area. There were a few Kris’ on A.I. (Danny, Matt, Anoop) to garner votes that eventually funneled to Kris. Adam was alone in his vote getting but could not overcome. They are both gonna be very successful.

I am overjoyed that Adam lost, because I absolutely love this guy, he is a phenomenal talent and showman. Congrats to Kris, such a nice, sweet down to earth guy and the AI title was just what he needed. It is NOT what Adam needed so THEY BOTH WON! Best Idol Finale Show ever!! Kiss?? Kiss??? and then Queen??!!! Whoa!!! Great night.

I am extremely happy 4 Kris…he is the real winner. If Kris had not won I vowed not to watch A. idol again cuz last year they stole it from Melinda. Congrats. Kris!!!!!

based upon predjudice? are u fucking serious. the idol machine was totally pushing Adam in your face from day 1. Look at all of the lights, costumes and KISS? everyone else is singing with someone u would only have to offer tv time to, to get them to do it, but KISS? someone paid a lot of money to get them there to play with Adam and why? because they wanted HIM to win. the final should have always been Danny and Kris and then it would have been a real SINGING contest. Kris can sing, and Adam is an Emo Screamo guy who has a great stage presence but only knows how to scream his lyrics. The ONLY song adamn ever performed well was his performance on Motown Week. everything else was garbage.

this feels like the one Clay Aiken lost to me. the actual winner will go down in wikipedia and the Adam wil live on in the tabloids.

Well…..Adam was the stronger singer but Kris was just as deserving because he plays the guitar and piano…….I don’t agree with the results and I think they are based upon prejudices where people didn’t vote for Adam based on talent alone….but hey….that’s the way it is sometimes….I’m sure Adam already has a recording contract and will become a mega star on his own…I will be buying both of their albums when they are released…….Idol was just the beginning for each of them….Kris will fit right in to the pop/rb circuit and Adam will be rocking out soon enough.

Adam was too good for Idol, now he can do bigger and better things and not be locked down in an Idol contract. I bet rock bands are stepping all over each other to get him as a lead singer.

I was shocked. I thought that Adam would win American Idol. But, then, he would not be under AI’s thumb for what he would want to do. Sure, he has to go on the AI tour, but he’ll be free to take the offer that would be best for him. 🙂
