07 Aug Jay Leno Gets Jay-Z, Rihanna & Kanye West To Kick Off New Show!

Jay Leno’s new show is going to start off with musical bang with Jay-Z, Rihanna & Kanye West all performing together a song off of Jay-Z’s upcoming CD.
The song is “Run This Town” and it is off of Jay’s upcoming The Blueprint 3 CD.
The Jay Leno show, which kicks off September 14th, will have fewer musical guests (which sucks!) and guests will be expected to do more than talk like race cars on an electric track against the show.
Since taking over the Tonight Show, Conan has been getting beat on the regular by David Letterman. In all fairness, Leno struggled his first year as host on the Tonight Show.-Dr.FB

Posted at 17:41h, 07 AugustJay will also be interviewed on the Tavis Smiley show on Monday night (PBS). Looking forward to seeing his familiar face on my TV screen.
I think Jay’s primetime show will do well. Could it hurt Conan in the end when people shut off their TVs after watching Jay? We’ll find out.

Posted at 14:50h, 07 AugustI think Leno’s departure was a bit premature. I’ve only watched the Tonight Show once or twice since Leno left. I like Conan… I really do. But I’m ready to see Jay back on late night.
