Ne-Yo is ready for his close up and his MTV Award.  The soulful singer is set to perform on the MTV Awards this September and did a photo shoot for the award show.

Russell Brand returns as host and it should be entertaining with him hosting and a performance from Ne-Yo.

    That kid deserves his recognition. A young writer, producer, and artist. I’ll admit that when he first came out as an artist I grouped him with other teeny boppers like (pre-scandal) Chris Brown. But he’s achieved much more behind the scenes than people realize.
