05 May Prince Shows Up At Village Underground For Unannounced Time Gala Aftershow
Prince plays at the Time 100 Gala in New York, May 4, 2010
Prince played the Time 100 event last night in New York and then headed over to the Villiage Underground to do an impromptu 45 minute set.
Prince was rehearsing at the Villiage Underground earlier in the day we are being told and Prince most likely played their tonight to thank them for letting them rehearse there.
The ENTIRE after show was streamed online at Thevillageunderground.com and Prince must have had some idea he was being filmed by them and with all the camera phones in the audience as he played a majority of the show with his back to the crowd.
Prince is rocking a shorter ‘do nowadays and ran thru a set that we heard consisted of “I Feel 4 U” and “Controversy” along with a few songs by his 8 piece band.
This was totally unannounced and no extra money was made by Villiage Underground even though the baddest man on the planet was rocking their stage.
The Time gala event earlier in the night featured a short set by Prince and the band with Shelby J. singing “Angel” a cover tune by Sarah McLachlan. We will keep you updated if we hear and see more.-Dr.FB

Some will always whine and complain about anything and everything, but his true fans have the utmost respect and appreciation for the man.

He doesn’t want photos taken of him, but he’s a celebrity, an entertainer, I agree, dumbies now at concerts all they do is fiddle with their cellphone camera’s and take photos than actually listening and enjoying the show. After a song is done the audience’s applause, these kind of audiences, which are very common nowadays, they don’t applause with real appreciation. As a performer you got to question if they even actually got the performance and are clapping because its over.
But then again, Prince can’t cope with that? I mean, people want to see his latest (Emancipation Redux) look.
And yes, I’m glad you DJ7 put it out there with your gut perception, that he looked tired and lost.
The mere scant few seconds I saw in that performance video tape footage at Time 100 of Prince I thought he looked angry, bitter, his physical vibe not wanting to be there. Bet the pay was good though.
On the other hand, I wonder if he’s sick. Hope not. It’s messed up though, because fans and especially fans are always left to try to figure out what the heck’s going on or nothing’s ever even I dont know, clear. There’s really a lack of communication from Prince and its very anti-fan to a degree.
Fans are to blame I guess. Because you joined Lotosflow3r.com then you complain, get angry, bitch about the money you lost, then he comes out looking like Jerry Lewis and it melts it all away…then your repay again when he opens up another website charging ridiculous, out of touch-tech prices.
Did he play “Just Another Sucker”? Should have. Don’t front, you’re joining his next website card in hand.

Even the Gold Experience era was better, but… that was then… this is NOW?!

If somebody can do a better job than, do it but don’t complain about the photos on here. The Doc don’t have any control over how the pictures are being taken or what Prince does or doesn’t do in them! Unhappy people have to b*thch about somethin I guess.

I originally chose the yfrog photo only at first because it was free. In all honesty, was not a fan of the photos available. Very dark and not like the ones I like to use.

Unless he was the photographer, there should be no complaints anyway. Besides, what about all those exclusive shots of Prince you have had in the past? Each time it is used on sites or on myspace or facebook, shouldn’t they be crediting your site n the person who took it?

Don’t really need to get sued by a photo agency. Perhaps check all photo credits on every single posts instead of Prince related ones.
Liked it when Rogers & Cohen were his PR firm for a moment as the photos were purchased for us.
