Money Does Matter 2Nite; PRINCE’s Estate Legal Bills Reach Almost $2 Million; Properties To Be Sold

Through June 30th, PRINCE‘s estate legal bills have reached almost $2 million dollars.

According to the associated press, Bremer Trust, the special administrator put in charge of Prince’s estate, is requesting permission to pay several law firms for work on the estate, the most belonging to Stinson Leonard Street, which totals $1.9 million by themselves. Other firms push it closer to that $2 million mark.

The fees were spelled out in a document made public Monday. Bremer Trust also asked the court handling Prince’s estate to approve its own fees – but filed those amounts under seal.

Another document shows Bremer is requesting permission to list some of Prince’s properties for sale. This does NOT include Paisley Park but properties and land he owned in Minnesota, Los Angeles, and other places.

In separate documents filed last week, it seems it is down to 6 people along with Tyka Nelson, Prince’s sister, for genetic testing at this time.

Also, in documents sent via text to DrFunkenberry.com, Bremer Trust is looking to extend music licensing agreements past the November 1st, 2016 deadline. Right now, they could approve music to be used in the $100,00-$500,000 rang and need more approval for licensing past the $1 million mark. The reasoning for them to be able to get quick approval on these things is for the amount of legal bills as well as the family being paid as they were while Prince was alive along with what will be taken by the IRS.-DocFB

Diagnosis: I know this is a sensitive subject for fans/fams. Please note, we are just trying to keep you updated in what is going on and what has been made public. Thank you.

Rae B., you are special aren’t you?

DOC WAS AT THE SHOW January 21st and simply said what Prince said at the show. He was there.

Their is a recording of the show circulating that someone recorded. Should they have recorded it? No but it is out there and it was said.

For Doc to be chastised for something that was said BY Prince in concert is stupid.

I hope you do never come back like you said.

Who cares if you met Prince 6 years ago? The Doc was a friend and you come off as a jealous C U Next Tuesday.

Know your facts, do your research and then maybe come back.

Actually you can purchase legal documents ,to be completed and signed by a Notory Public, at office Depot or thru atto8Robert Shapiro’s online company. One lulls out the information required and have a Notory Public witness your signature. Many states also recognize a hand written Last Will of Testament notorized by a Notory Public.

RaeB, on the CNN interview, Funkenberry states what he said in concert that night. Nothing private. In fact, there is a recording of it out. Prince states clearly about the lucid dreams at the concert that night January 21st, 2016. The CNN interviewer tries to make it sound like Prince told this straight to doc and doc even says that he said that at the concert. It could have made doc look closer to Prince but he made sure to correct the interviewer/reporter that he said that at the concert on January 21st and not one on one.

So if said to an entire audience and there is a recording of him saying that, how is it private information again?

Do the research before you try calling someone out who has been our voice for quite a long time.

Thanks doc for doing what you do. It is appreciated. Don’t feed the trolls.

Many times since April 21, 2016 I’ve read and heard DJS say, ” this one straight from his vault “.

That vault had a billion dollars worth of music in it no question
If greed is the motivating factor here he’s assets and property will be stripped bare.if it is about legal reasons people should be prepared to wait for legal judgements. This need money today bullshit just goes to show blood is the water and the sharks are circling
Michael Jackson’s estate increased 100 fold when he passed away so I can’t sèe why not there wasn’t a significant increase via Paisley Park estate

Face it: he didn’t leave a will.
I hate to be so blunt but wills aren’t notes left behind after you die like in the movies. They’re officially registered with the state and administered through lawyers and signed off by several people. If there was a will in Prince”s case it would’ve been made available immediately. There is no cover up or “evil” plot to steal his money here. Bremer Bank and the lawyers going over his land and assets have to be paid for their services. Lawyers are NOT cheap (think $500 an hour). If there was a will most of these things would have been settled by now but they’re not.
Like it or not, this will go on for a while, until everything has accounted for AND been split between the family members. Imagine ALL of his land, prooerty, Paisley Park, music rights, instruments, vehicles, the VAULT etc…all of it has to be accounted for, appraised, and then distributed evenly. It will probably take a year or two to do so.

Rae B- I think the line about the text message is the Doc’s way of reminding everyone he was connected to Prince. Happens a lot.

Most of us believe Prince had a will and if he truly passed over someone stole it. All this BS with trustees, lawyers, selling his precious items is a smoke screen to attempt justification in picking thru his belongings, selling them to get their dirty, grubbing, evil hands on Prince’s material to exploit and profit. Keep your eyes open; it will surface who murdered him and who will profit from him. I’m still hoping he faked his death for whatever reason. Why has it never been authenticated what was founder in his vault when they Immediately drilled it open? Why has there not been follow ups on the Dr.Schulenberg who disappeared after cleaning out his office? Why has it not been revealed what the last known conversation from Prince with Will Smith the night before they allegedly found Prince’s body in the elevator. And Jay Z releasing all of Prince’s music inclung some from Prince’s vault within 2 days of Prince’s death? So many conflicting and contradictory explanations surrounding his last days.

Just Parasites making quick easy money off Prince’s hard earned Black Sweat. That figure is obscene especially for couple months legal services. Lawyers are equal to pond scum, good for nothing yet always rising to the top. I’m so sorry Prince. What a disgusting disgrace to all your genius creations and reflections of your purpose on earth. Not only does your guitar weep so do many of God’s angels and servants. Love to Love you, Prince.

Protect the music, clothes from tours, the purple rain house, the Park and anything else connected to his legacy. The rest is material possessions from which he was always free. I understand he did not live in the majority of the properties at anytime in which case there will hopefully be fewer ties.
Prince I often pray you are at peace, feeling the love so many are sending you. Eye wish you eternal peace and love.

Whenever assets are necessarily being liquidated, it is painful/emotional because all things that person held special in their life is slowly being dismantled. In a way, it is chipping away that person’s identity and what made them special to so many.

“in documents sent via text to DrFunkenberry.com”
Were these documents exclusive to you or can we also read them on the court site?

Thanks for the updates. I don’t think the selling of property is that bad, especially if it’s excluding PP. Hopefully it will sell quickly. What worries me is the family having to sell the vault to Warners – that would make me sick. Also who has Prince’s masters? Surely not Tidal?

There’s just no way he didn’t have a will and all this talk of he didn’t like contracts means nothing, he still had to have contracts for things and besides that Prince was not dumb enough to view a will as a contract! We know how hard he fought and how protective he was of his creations. Something does not compute!

Thanks for the update, Doc. Sounds like a logical move to me and it’s good that the trust company is making an attempt to continue with compensating the family as Prince did.
