Lamar Odom & Khloe Kardashian celebrated Halloween in West Hollywood as Batman & Catwoman. Well..for Lamar it should be half-assed Batman.

The cowl, the cape and the belt buckle. I guess his excuse is the rest of the outfit would not show off his huge…..ring.  Either that or the entire outfit would make not see who he was. Yea, that sounds more like the case. I don’t think this photo was flattering at all of Khloe so not going to touch that.

Maybe that’s why the Lakers got beat so badly by Dallas on Friday. Lamar was thinking bout costumed n Halloween sex instead of helping put a body on Dirk Nowitski. Sorry. Just a jilted Laker fan over here is all.-Dr.FB

Is Christian Bale OK?

Christian Bale was caught on set of his latest movie and at first, we were not sure it was him because of how he looked.

Looking gaunt, thinner than in a long time, the Batman star made his way from his trailer to the set.  Christian before lost a lot of weight for movie roles so this could be the same thing.

Besides, does anyone want to say anything to Christian about this? I. Don’t. Think. So.-Dr.FB

In what sounds like a plot straight out of a Hollywood movie, Christopher Nolan’s brother Matthew Nolan has been arrested for the kidnap and murder of a man named Robert Cohen. The allegations are as follows:

According to reports, Cohen owed $7 million dollars to an un-named Florida man. In order to recover the money, Matthew Nolan and an accomplice named Daniel Mejia concocted a plot where Nolan posed as a multi-millionaire jewel dealer, and lured Cohen to Costa Rica on the pretense of entering a business deal with the victim. Once Cohen was in Costa Rica, Nolan and Mejia allegedly kidnapped him and held him for ransom, and when their demands weren’t met, they killed Cohen.

The FBI arrested Nolan in Chicago Thursday and he is being held without bail and awaiting extradition to Costa Rica.

No. 2 The Death Of Heath Ledger

The World Lost A Talented Actor In Heath Ledger. File Photo

January 22nd, 2008 in New York, Heath Ledger died.  He died of an apparent overdose.  The movie industry, movie fans, and fans of the actor were in shock.  His loved ones in disbelief.

You know when you heard his name as the one who had died, your mouth dropped.  You did a double take.  Your first thought after the shock; he was so young.  Sleeping pills did him in. Sleeping pills.

He admitted in interviews that he was having a rough time sleeping after playing the villain Joker in the latest Batman movie, the Dark Knight.  One pill, which should knock you out for 8 hours, would knock him out for 90 minutes.  So he would take several instead of understanding his body became immune to the pills shortly after taking them.

The Dark Knight movie seemed cursed from the get go.  A stuntman died the 1st week of shooting.  Another death happened.  Then Heath’s after filming.  Then Morgan Freeman escaped death in the south.  The weekend of the movie, Christian Balle’s estranged family came after him.  Crazy.  Maybe Johnny Depp may want to rethink that Riddler character.

Heath Ledger jumped on the screen in 1999’s Ten Things I Hate About You.  Having modest success with movies such as A Knight’s Tale, he took on the role of a gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain.  Not getting the Oscar and jokes behind his back, Heath stood out in a role that would have been taboo and untouchable years prior, but he took the role which gained him respect.

After agreeing to take the Joker role, some questioned his acting ability to do that and how could a person who played a gay cowboy play that role.  Leaks of Heath dressed in Joker garb dispelled most of that talk and had people going, wow, he is actually going to pull this off.  It is a shame that Heath did not live to see how respected his version of the Joker is.  How respected he is.

I must reiterate; If Heath does not only get nominated for an Oscar, and if he does not win it, the Academy Awards in many industry insiders eyes, will now be deemed as useless.  Think of it as giving Denzel the Oscar for Training Day instead of the countless other movie roles he owned over the years.  Why so serious?  Because Heath Ledger was the Best in movies of 2008.-Dr.FB

No. 7 The Dark Knight Scores At The Box Office

Even before the death of Heath Ledger, the talk of the Dark Knight series and Heath playing the Joker was hitting legend status.  When Heath was first announced in the role, the fan boy community of comic book readers were up in arms.  How could he come close to Jack Nicholson’s Joker.  The Fact? In the end, he set the standard for all future Jokers.

The Dark Knight did not alter it’s release date or it’s promotional plan and it succeeded setting box office records for opening day and opening weekend.  It is currently 2nd place behind Titanic and is going to be re-released in theatres in just a few weeks.

The movie was long and dark and on point in all aspects.  Christian Bale was overshadowed and he did not care.  People were paying more attention to the Joker than Batman’s sometimes annoying speech.

The Joker is the all time classic villan and Heath took him to new heights.  Unfortunately, Heath may have played him too well and had trouble sleeping which led to his untimely death in his 20’s.  It is a known fact in Hollywood right now, if Heath does not get the Oscar for his portrayal, the Acadamy will have very much got it wrong.-Dr.FB

She will be missed n I am sure she is with James Brown who passed away 2 years ago on this day.-Dr.FB

Robert Pattinson was chilling on Melrose Avenue over the weekend.  He mostly went unnoticed and was shopping at several stores.

Twilight, Pattinson’s breakthrough role, took in $40 millin at the box office, which was good enough for number 2 as Vince Vaughn took a bite of the box office gold with Reese Witherspoon in Four Christmases.

Man, people were saying Twilight was going to make more money that Batman.  Seriously?  I said let’s see how it does the second week.  $40 million is nothing to sneeze at but over a holiday weekend, it dropped by $30 million.  Not blowing my own horn because I hope Robert picked me up something from Melrose, but I am just saying.-Dr.FB

Holy Annoying Batman Story Coincidences!

Gonna vent here for a minute my funkenbabies.

Should I be happy that the so-called top entertainment blogger comes here to my site?  Should I be ecstatic that sometimes he uses my stories word for word or reverses time-lines to make it more his story?  We are in a line of work where we sometimes report the same stories but from a different point of view.  What happens if that point of view is almost the same word for word?

You research the story.  You make jokes and points that are your own that end up splooging from someone else.  It’s kind of like OMG, I am the biggest blogger in the game but let’s see what the Dr Hickleberry or Frankenberry is up to or see how he worded this story.  My throat may be getting squashed but I feel no pain.  I know I am the sole person behind this site.  My sister and mother do not post stories for me and pass it off as my work.

There is more than enough room for both of us.  For the wiley veteran and the splashy newcomer.  I will never feel the need to lift your words for a story.  Hopefully, you never will have to again.   Maybe after you are done flipping off the screen, you will see it all really is about respect.

Respect.-Dr.FB

Batman Being Sued By….Batman? Holy Lameness!

This is one of the most motarded (Something more than retarded) lawsuits of all time…seriously.

The mayor of a southeastern City in Turkey is suing Warner Bros, Christian Bale, and Christopher Nolan for royalties from “The Dark Knight”.  The reason?  The city is named Batman.  Somewhere, the Joker is laughing.

Huseyin Kalkan, the mayor of Batman, (not the comic, the city, Robin) had this to say:

“There is only one Batman in the world,” Kalkan said. “The American producers used the name of our city without informing us.”

Let’s see… the first Batman big-screen movie blockbuster was made in 1989.  The classic Batman TV series  started in 1966.  The comic by Bob Kane debuted in 1939.  1939!  You guys are only 69 years late.  Could this have something to do with the last movie grossing over a billion dollars world-wide?  I’ll bet my utility belt on it.

He is also trying to place the blame of unsolved murders and a high female suicide rate on the Caped Crusader of Gotham City.  They say they also have trouble doing business abroad because of the city’s name.

The mayor of Loonytown is attempting to gain evidence that the city’s name predates Bob Kane’s 1939 Batman debut.  Spider-Man and Superman, beware!  The crazy people could be after you next.

Will Batman & DC win against this Joker of a mayor?

Will Batman have to change his name to Man-Bat or a Bat of a man?

Stay tuned!  Same Funkenberry website.  Same Doctor.-Dr.FB

3 Batman Spin-off Books To Be Cancelled?

The Cancellations Come By Way Of The Batman R.I.P. Storyline. Art: DC Comics

Comic Book lovers, your pull list will get smaller starting in January.  DC comics has announced the cancellation/changing of 3 titles.  These titles include Birds of Prey, Nightwing & Robin.

It is interesting that that 3 titles will change with the Batman R.I.P storyline by Grant Morrison, which in my opinion, has been less than impressive.  I am hoping for a strong finish with Hush, but not sure.

Robin may become Batman & Robin and will not affect All Star Batman & Robin.

I was thinking the only print media not affected by the Internets so far has been comic books and graphic novels.  I might be wrong.
