What was that say ing about never being able to keep a good man down?  Well, it seems Steve Rogers is a good man you can’t keep down, even if he was dead.

Rogers, the original Captain America, was killed off in 2007 in Marvel Comics and replaced by Bucky Barnes Aka the Winter Soldier.  Most people who ever read Captain America knew Bucky as Cap’s sidekick. Well, hope he was just keeping his shield warm as Steve Rogers is not dead. We hear it is going to be a strange plot twist that kicks off with issue #600.

Tom Breevort, A Marvel Executive Editor had this to say to CNN; “The tenor of the world now is when we’re at a point where we want to believe in heroes. Someone who can lead the way,” said Breevort. “It just feels like the right time.”

Captain America issue #600 came out today which leads to the Captain America: Reborn mini-series due in July.-Dr.FB

Batman Being Sued By….Batman? Holy Lameness!

This is one of the most motarded (Something more than retarded) lawsuits of all time…seriously.

The mayor of a southeastern City in Turkey is suing Warner Bros, Christian Bale, and Christopher Nolan for royalties from “The Dark Knight”.  The reason?  The city is named Batman.  Somewhere, the Joker is laughing.

Huseyin Kalkan, the mayor of Batman, (not the comic, the city, Robin) had this to say:

“There is only one Batman in the world,” Kalkan said. “The American producers used the name of our city without informing us.”

Let’s see… the first Batman big-screen movie blockbuster was made in 1989.  The classic Batman TV series  started in 1966.  The comic by Bob Kane debuted in 1939.  1939!  You guys are only 69 years late.  Could this have something to do with the last movie grossing over a billion dollars world-wide?  I’ll bet my utility belt on it.

He is also trying to place the blame of unsolved murders and a high female suicide rate on the Caped Crusader of Gotham City.  They say they also have trouble doing business abroad because of the city’s name.

The mayor of Loonytown is attempting to gain evidence that the city’s name predates Bob Kane’s 1939 Batman debut.  Spider-Man and Superman, beware!  The crazy people could be after you next.

Will Batman & DC win against this Joker of a mayor?

Will Batman have to change his name to Man-Bat or a Bat of a man?

Stay tuned!  Same Funkenberry website.  Same Doctor.-Dr.FB

It is being reported that Sasha Fierce herself Beyonce Knowles wants to play Wonder Woman.  So much so, she has already met with Warner Brothers/Dc Comics Films.

I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It’s time for that, right?”

“I would definitely have to keep it right for that costume. The way that Lynda Carter wore it, she was sooo fine. She was amazing. I saw her costume at the Met. Her waist was unbelievable. It was pretty crazy, actually, her proportions. But I love Wonder Woman and it’d be a dream come true to be that character. It sure would be handy to have that lasso. To make everybody tell the truth? I need that. It would come in very handy.”

I am sooooooooooooo not feeling it.  Megan Fox would be the better choice for Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman, There has to be something better for Beyonce to play.  There are not really any black female super-heroes are there?-Dr.FB

3 Batman Spin-off Books To Be Cancelled?

Comic Book lovers, your pull list will get smaller starting in January.  DC comics has announced the cancellation/changing of 3 titles.  These titles include Birds of Prey, Nightwing & Robin.

It is interesting that that 3 titles will change with the Batman R.I.P storyline by Grant Morrison, which in my opinion, has been less than impressive.  I am hoping for a strong finish with Hush, but not sure.

Robin may become Batman & Robin and will not affect All Star Batman & Robin.

I was thinking the only print media not affected by the Internets so far has been comic books and graphic novels.  I might be wrong.
