EDM group Renaiszance have just released a music video for "I Will Rise" which is graphic novel themed.
The music video is based off of the graphic novel, The Inventor, which was written by Renaiszance member, Rave' Mehta. The Inventor tells the story of famed mystic inventor Nikola Tesla and his contributions to the science world.
Anytime I can use a John Byrne comic book piece to promote a story, I am all about it. This time, it is for Christian Bail's "Dark Knight" audition!
Bale is in Val Kilmer's batman suit for the audition. It doesn't look right on Christian does it?
This will be released as a bonus on the upcoming “The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector’s Edition” box set.-DocFB

This is a sad day for the book industry and for the economy. Borders books is being forced to liquidate as they could not find a buyer for the company. Starting tomorrow, ALL Borders in the United States will be having going out of business sales that will go through until August when all stores will be closing and close to 11,000 people losing their jobs.
Mike Edwards, CEO of Borders sent out a message to all Borders customers and consumers earlier tonight. Wow. Just wow. I am sure most of you will take advantage of the book sale before they close. I would and will.
Print media is a dying breed as nooks and other devices take over.
What do you guys think of Borders going out of business.-Dr.FB

Diagnosis: Funky Hotness
So, I was surfing iTunes today and happened upon the App Store and while I can preview it on the puter I can't actually enjoy the addictive stupidity of "Angry Birds" on my phone (thank God) but I did happen upon an app that made me want to upgrade (Thanks Verizon for finally adding iPhones!) to a new phone.
It's the world's first motion comic 'appisode' series on the Apple Network. I like comic books but after a few minutes I feel schizophrenic finding my place from one dialogue bubble to the next. The sound effects, original score and story make it feel like Movie Watching your comic!
Omega 1 is a hot ass brunette who's been genetically enhanced after the last World War --- a "Hacker War" where ALL information is sold to the highest bidder. Like where you live (stalker alert!), credit card info, nuclear codes, you know, the info the credit collectors usually have anyway. Hot assed, bendy Omega 1 is an information courier and kicks all kinds of ass in the process of bringing secured information to her clients (can we petition the US Post Office to employ chicks like this?!)
Anyway, its cool, I like it. Check it out! It's made for iPhone, iPads and iPods. 99 cents gets you the full appisode, character breakdowns, the actual comic book and commentaries. You can preview the trailer here:
P.S. Prince trivia here: Prince's original (and best IMHO) website designer Sam Jennings created their press website.-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: Appisode Of The Future?
What was that say ing about never being able to keep a good man down? Well, it seems Steve Rogers is a good man you can't keep down, even if he was dead.
Rogers, the original Captain America, was killed off in 2007 in Marvel Comics and replaced by Bucky Barnes Aka the Winter Soldier. Most people who ever read Captain America knew Bucky as Cap's sidekick. Well, hope he was just keeping his shield warm as Steve Rogers is not dead. We hear it is going to be a strange plot twist that kicks off with issue #600.
Tom Breevort, A Marvel Executive Editor had this to say to CNN; "The tenor of the world now is when we're at a point where we want to believe in heroes. Someone who can lead the way," said Breevort. "It just feels like the right time."
Captain America issue #600 came out today which leads to the Captain America: Reborn mini-series due in July.-Dr.FB
