I am at a loss for words as Amy Winehouse had her funeral service today and is will be cremated before being buried.
According to People.com and others, Amy's father Mitch provided a somber and humorous eulogy for Amy. Producer Mark Ronson, who called Amy his musical soulmate, and produced her 2006 album "Back To Black" attended along with Kelly Osbourne. Her boyfriend of the past two years, Reg Traviss was in attendance. Not in attendance was her ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil who is serving time in prison and was not granted permission to attend. Amy's father made it known that Blake was not welcome at the funeral.
The Carole King classic "So Far Away" was played at the Jewish funeral and all were asked to join in and sing. Amy is to be cremated after the service.
Music lost a woman who will now live in infamy and it could be some time til we hear a voice as powerful as Amy's. Mitch Winehouse however, lost a daughter. Imagine you having to bury your child. No matter the issues she had. No matter the people who say they all saw this coming. Burying your child or loved one is one of the hardest things I could ever imagine doing.
Mitch Winehouse had this to say at the end of the funeral;
Amy Winehouse and her new man Reg Traviss attended the UK Premiere of "Psychosis" and if you were expecting a long dress from Amy, you would be wrong.
Traviss is writer and director of "Psychosis" and if you said a year ago that Amy would be dating a director, I would assume you meant of a drug clinic, but that is not the case.
Nope. Traviss is a major upgrade over her ex, Blake Fielder-Civil, wouldn't you agree?
It's nice to see Amy looking healthy and happy. You go Amy!-Dr.FB
Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder Civil took to the streets of Soho in London last night.
They were visiting Jazz After Dark for an exhibit of an artist Sam Shaker as Amy had paid him to paint pictures for her.
Amy was requesting people call her Mrs Fielder-Civil. Oh boy. Later in the night, she changed her status update on Facebook to "The King & Queen of Camden are home."
Very interesting. We wonder if she is calling her left breast King and her right breast Queen. Just saying.~Dr.FB
Usually, when you hear about Amy Winehouse being in a clinic, you think it is a bad thing. Not this time.
She left the medical facility with her goddaughter (No reason to she the kid, she is not a celeb.) and she looked to be happy and most importantly, healthy.
Contrary to reports she is not back with her ex Blake. She has a new man in her life and so far, his identity has been kept private. She is said to not reveal who he is until it gets more serious.
How soon until people start saying it is Justin Timberlake? I'm not saying, I'm just sayin'. Don't think I forgot US Weekly or OK Magazine.-Dr.FB
It's no secret that Amy Winehouse is now back with Blake Fielder-Civil. She is also back on the drugs.
Amy was seen partying earlier this week and while stumbling exiting, she had white stuff around and in her nose. I don't think she missed her mouth while eating powdered doughnuts. I will post the photos later, but it really is sad sight.
7 months of sobriety (she still drank but no drugs.) down the drain. Recovery down the drain. Whether she knows it or not, Love Drugs Are A Losing Game.-Dr.FB
Rumors are skyrocketing that Amy Winehouse is thinking of adopting as she stays clean in St Lucia.
This might have more to do with her estranged husband knocking up another chick than really being serious about it. Please, Amy, just stay clean, no more.
Also we hear that Amy is thinking about doing a duet with Justin Timberlake. Justin has approached her with the idea according to reports. You all imagining Amy as Ciara in their latest video? Now, that I'd like to see!-Dr.FB
Amy Winehouse is much prettier than the chick Civil has knocked up, lets just leave it at that
According to 'The Daily News', Blake knocked up a fellow resident in rehab. Gillian Morris, 31, told the tabloid that Blake seduced her at the Phoenix futures Rehab Centre in Sheffield. "We had a secret fling", she said. Both are in rehab undergoing treatment for heroin addiction.
