New “The Dark Knight Rises” Trailer Dominates The ‘Net

So much for waiting The Avengers movie to open this weekend in the U.S. to see the new trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises" Batman trailer.

Within 1 day, the trailer was seen by 2 million people and also drove people overseas to see The Avengers movie last weekend where it pulled in $178 million dollars in its opening weekend over there.

This is the final Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale Batman/Dark Knight films.  Both films before this 3rd one have been instant classics with comic book and movie lovers.

It is not a matter of will you see this Dark Knight movie, but when?-DocFB

Anne Hathaway was filmed doing a fight scene for "The Dark Knight Rises" as Catwoman in L.A. over the weekend.  Looks like Anne can avoid a punch pretty well.

"The Dark Knight Rises", the last of the Christopher Nolan Batman films, is set for release next summer, 2012.-Dr.FB

Christian Bale was caught on set of his latest movie and at first, we were not sure it was him because of how he looked.

Looking gaunt, thinner than in a long time, the Batman star made his way from his trailer to the set.  Christian before lost a lot of weight for movie roles so this could be the same thing.

Besides, does anyone want to say anything to Christian about this? I. Don't. Think. So.-Dr.FB

Eminem’s Cryptic Message? Updated

Is this the cover for Relapse 2 to be released later this year?  Was this Eminem last Halloween in a weird ode to the Heath Ledger's Joker and a combo thrown in of Hugh Hefner and a pirate sword for good measure?

Or maybe he is a new member of the Insane Clown Posse.  Uhoh.

Eminem had this message under the photo:

A world so dark, a world so cold... The devil only knows. It's Friday, the 19th.

I wonder if it is a hint that Relapse 2 will be released on June 19th?  We will see.

What we do know is that Eminem's new CD Relapse offically drops today.  It was leaked online weeks ago and has had some pretty disparaging reviews although the fans have stood by it so far.

What we do know is that Eminem is performing 2 more nights on Jimmy Kimmel soon and is throwing a free concert in his hometown of Detroit.

Others may say it's cheap promotion?  Me?  I don't care and it comes off as promotion and very charitable.  Last time I checked, that was pretty cool.  I am sure even the ICP would agree.-Dr.FB

Update:  Just spoke with a friend from Interscope and Relapse 2 is scheduled for later this year.  Much later.   Think November/December.  Just wanted to keep the Shadyheads in the loop.

Benjamin Button leads with 13 nominations with a best actor nod for Brad Pitt.  Clint Eastwood was not nominated as well, so the lead right now to win the Oscar would be Mickey Rourke for the Wrestler.

Heath Ledger did get nominated for his role as the Joker in the Dark Knight.  Robert Downey Jr. was nominated for Tropic Thunder and Philip Seymour Hoffman for Doubt.

The Dark Knight recieved 8 nominations but only Heath's was a major catagory.

The Oscars will take place on Feb. 22nd and be hosed by Hugh Jackman.

Even before the death of Heath Ledger, the talk of the Dark Knight series and Heath playing the Joker was hitting legend status.  When Heath was first announced in the role, the fan boy community of comic book readers were up in arms.  How could he come close to Jack Nicholson's Joker.  The Fact? In the end, he set the standard for all future Jokers.

The Dark Knight did not alter it's release date or it's promotional plan and it succeeded setting box office records for opening day and opening weekend.  It is currently 2nd place behind Titanic and is going to be re-released in theatres in just a few weeks.

The movie was long and dark and on point in all aspects.  Christian Bale was overshadowed and he did not care.  People were paying more attention to the Joker than Batman's sometimes annoying speech.

The Joker is the all time classic villan and Heath took him to new heights.  Unfortunately, Heath may have played him too well and had trouble sleeping which led to his untimely death in his 20's.  It is a known fact in Hollywood right now, if Heath does not get the Oscar for his portrayal, the Acadamy will have very much got it wrong.-Dr.FB
