"Cherry Pie" was just featured in "The Change-Up" last week. The song was a metal mainstay by Warrant and it's lead singer Jani Lane. Jani Lane was found dead Thursday in Woodland Hills.
Lane was staying at the Comfort Inn off of Ventura Boulevard, a hang out of hookers and drug addicts right by a Denny's. Lane was 47 years old and had been battling alcohol addiction for years. We do not know of drug addiction but his alcohol battles were shown on VH-1's "Celebrity Fit Club" not Celeb Rehab show.
Lane had several hits with Warrant including "Heaven" along with "Cherry Pie" and even married the girl from the "Cherry Pie" video Bobbi Brown for a brief moment in time.
Warrant kicked him out of the group for his addictions and was trying to make it on his own.
We will keep you updated on the cause of death as it becomes available.-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: Heaven For Him Really Isn't Too Far Away
The autopsy of Amy Winehouse is complete and no cause of death has been established. The toxicology tests will take 2 to 4 weeks for the results.
Everyone and their grandmother is assuming what killed Amy Winehouse was drugs. We can speculate all we want, and your grandmother may be right, but we are going to wait for the results to come back.
It doesn't matter how she died. The main thing is she did die.....-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: Human Life Still Is Valuable
Chaka Khan along with Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, El Debarge & Jill Scott performed at this years Essence Festival in New Orleans this weekend. After El Debarge performed, Chaka took the stage and in the middle of her set, talked about her past drug addictions.
We are not sure if maybe the message was for El Debarge who recently fell off the wagon and was back in rehab, but Chaka talked about it. It was about the song "Troubled Little Angel" and this is what Chaka said.
"This next song is a song I wrote but I don't remember writing it because I was high," "That was then, this is now, I'm seven years clean."
Chaka also talked in the past to Mary J. Blige about drug addictions and attributes Chaka to getting clean.
We are proud of Chaka and hope she stays on the road to recovery.-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: Through The Fire
Whitney Houston has checked into an out-patient rehab program for her drug and alcohol dependency. We are told it is part of a "long-standing" recovery process. We had a feeling something was up. It is being reported that Whitney enrolled in the program 10 days ago.
She was at the Prince concert at the Forum with her daughter with her as she performed twice, once with Chaka, and once later with Prince.
We did all whisper amongst ourselves that Whitney seemed like she fell off and felt sadness.
We hope Whitney is able to fight off her addictions once again and wish her well, for herself and that of her daughter.-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: Not The Greatest Love Of All
Just days after being released from jail, George Michael has decided he needs to go rehab.
George released this statement:
Katy Perry says she needs to get these anvils off her chest...and she is NOT talking about her breasts.
"Circle The Drain" is about her ex Travie McCoy and his addiction to drugs. She never mentions him by name but it is about him.
She compared it to Alanis Morrisette's "You Oughta Know" and we do see it.
She says she felt the "F" word is OK to be used when needed and she felt it was for the song.
For those that missed it last week, here is "Circle The Drain" below. Is it on par with "You Oughta Know" or hell no?-Dr.FB
