Drake and Hanson (remember them?) were set to do a free show in New York for 10,000 people.  One problem; 20,000 people showed up. 

The show was supposed to start at 6:30 P.M. but Drake was not going to show til 8 P.M.  It appears there was NO security.

Orianthi will play a small show in LA this Thursday afternoon as part of the Wal-Mart OP “Rock You Shine” event. The event is being held at the Avalon in Hollywood and runs from 4-6pm (doors open at 3pm). You must be over 13 to attend.

Looking for something to do this Friday night?  Drfunkenberry.com & KIIS FM have a pretty good idea if you are.

Orianthi will be having a FREE concert this Friday night Feb. 5th, at 8:30 P.M. at Universal Citywalk in front of the Hard Rock.

Ori will meet fans after the show as she will be signing purchased copies of her debut CD “Believe” at the event.

 Dr. Funkenberry will be at the event and will have an interview with Orianthi before the show.  You know I will try to get her to play guitar and play something other than “Beat It” because I want to and think it would be cool.

Fans of Orianthi, she is performing tonight for free in New York!

She will be at the Union Square Best Buy in NYC. The concert will begin at 6:30 pm, and Orianthi will be signing autographs and meeting fans after her performance.

Eminem rcoked the 1,500 sound board theatre in Detroit yesterday while his new cd “Relapse” came out as well.

Em did an 8 song set for free with a mass amount of the tickets given out with hints and locations thru his twitter account.  I guess you could call it the Twicket giveaway.  From tickets found in shoes close to 8 Mile or meeting Paul at the Waffle House.  (Die hard Eminem fans will know who Paul is.) It was an interesting giveaway ala Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist” but instead of looking where they would perform, you had to find where tickets would be.

Also, an update on the release date of “Relapse 2″ for those that missed it.  I spoke with someone from Interscope Records yesterday and they advised that Eminem’s “Relapse 2″ will be released in the 4th quarter, which would mean a November or December release date.

Will Eminem knock Green Day from the number 1 spot next week?  No need to go thru brain damage, we will know soon enough. Don’t forget Eminem will be on Jimmy Kimmel this Friday.-Dr.FB

No Doubt taped Ellen yesterday to a record 4,000 fans on the Warner Brothers back lot of Ellen’s show. 

They performed 3 songs although we cannot guarantee all of them will air.
