Diagnosis: Does 30 Years Seem Long Enough?
Dr. Conrad Murray was sentenced to 4 years in prison for the death of Michael Jackson. Murray's time will be spent in L.A. County Jail.
The judge appeared often upset and brought up a documentary that Murray shot with MSNBC where Murray said Michael's death lies with Michael not him.
Murray will also have to pay "appropriate restitution" to the Jackson Estate and Michael's kids at a later date. The prosecution is hoping for a $100 million dollars, but no amount was set yet. They were also hoping for money from Murray to pay for the almost $2 million funeral costs for Michael.
Michael's family released a statement to the court before sentencing:
"We are not here to seek revenge. There is nothing you can do here today that will bring Michael back." "We respectfully request you impose a sentence that reminds physicians they cannot sell their services to the highest bidder."
Murray could only get a maximum of 4 years in prison, but we ask, did the punishment fit the crime?-DocFB
Diagnosis: Not enough time or just right?
Sly Stone is in a rehab facility for 30 days and will spend 60 more days in there to avoid jail time. While Herman Cain cops a feel, Sly copped a plea.
Sly was arrested earlier this year in April for being in possession of cocaine while doing a search of his vehicle.
He pleaded no contest to the charges on Tuesday and agreed to the sentencing of 60 more days in rehab other than jail time.
Stone has said when he gets out of rehab, he hopes to return to his music career and work with Lady Gaga along with others.
We are pulling for Sly......we just hope it is not the same song and dance for someone so legendary.-DocFB
Diagnosis: Drugs are bad....OK?
Lindsay Lohan better get used to the orange jail scrubs again. She has failed 2 drug tests and one of them was for cocaine.
Guess that rehab center that said she only needed 30 days and not the full 90 was way wrong.
First Lindsay denied it then Friday night she went on a Twitter rant saying she did fail it and is ready for the consequences.
Us? We don't get it. You just get out of jail and rehab and know you are having drug tests taken...and still do the drugs. I don't get it. Then again, I do not have an addiction like that. It took Robert Downey Jr. a while to kick his habit and addiction and he did.
I want her to kick her addictions, but it should be her wanting to do it. Also, if it is her friends giving her the drugs, then those are not your friends Lindsay.
What do you think of Lindsay's latest dabble with jail time and cocaine?-Dr.FB
So, from 90 days, to 23 days, to now 14 days.
If Lindsay Lohan behaves behind bars, she will spend about 2 weeks in the slammer instead of the full 90 days. The reason? Prison overcrowding.
She will not be allowed to smoke in prison but will have access to her "prescription" drugs.
Is justice really being served?-Dr.FB
Lindsay Lohan was in court today and was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days of rehab probation.
Lindsay sobbed she "did the best she could" but with a few dui's, a drug possession stop fumbled, and missed classes for alcohol abuse, the judge ruled that Lindsay must serve time.
Truth be told, if she can behave herself, Lindsay will most likely will serve 25 days in jail.
Her prison witch name will be Lindsay Slowhands. Check out her Oscar worthy courtroom performance in the video below. -Dr.FB
