Here is the NEW Janelle Monae song "Q.U.E.E.N." featuring Erykah Badu, our DrFunkenberry Jam Of The Week!
Billboard calls the track unpredictable and says it is filled with some Princely guitar work.
Monae takes on religious tolerance and other things in the 5:12 track.
She explained to Billboard:
"This song is inspired by private conversations she (Erykah) and I have had and continue to have,"
"She's a great friend to me; she's like a big sister and it's a song about private dialogue that she and I have had."
There is no release date yet for the song but their will be an upcoming tour. There is discussion by many on the web about if the song is discussing Janelle's sexuality. Janelle somewhat responded in the Tweet below:

Fun Perform “We Are Young” On Letterman
If you have had your TV on the background while doing stuff, you have more than likely heard "We Are Young" by Fun. The song is everywhere.
We dig the song. Not so sure about that tongue action at the end but ok then.
The original and video version feature Janelle Monae where Fun are dressed much better than thier Letterman appearance.

“Thumbs Up For Rock & Roll” For Prince & Possible Tour Opening Acts
Music icon Prince sure has a sense of humor. Along with a musical message to The Time/Original 7ven's Terry Lewis, he sent the video above. This video is too funny. "Thumbs up for rock & roll?" all right then.
When we first saw this video, I was like Waa?.... but by the end, it had us laughing.
Not only was this sent to Terry Lewis but also Paul Peterson aka St. Paul who was in the Prince band, The Family, who now call themselves FDeluxe.
We chatted briefly with Paul about things and will have some very cool stuff coming your way soon, including that new rehearsal jam that PRINCE sent his and our way. Seriously, we cannot wait to give it to you. Sometime this week, we promise!!!!!

Here is exclusive coverage and photos of Prince and The NPG playing at the NPG Music And Arts Festival Saturday, August 6th. These photos are stunning. It is a shame the weather cut this show short because by photos alone, it sure looks like Prince was bringing it.
Just shaking my head as I think of the songs he has been performing lately. "Gold", "What's My Name" "Calhoun Square" "Mutiny" and I could go on. The Icon could do a month of shows without doing the same song twice. We know it.
