Macklemore & Lewis, Robin Thicke, Drake, and Keith Urban are set to perform at the "Grammy Nominations Concert Live-Countdown To Music's Biggest Night" on December 6th!

LL Cool J will return as your host and Robin Thicke will play a special concert after the event for guests in attendance.

The event will take place at the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live. The Nomination special has been a hit after it was laughed at by the industry. Who would have thought to have a special to announce the nominees? It sounds ridiculous but has worked. The event started at Club Nokia before moving to Nashville for one year and this is the second year it will be hosted at the Nokia Theatre.

The thing that changed this year was instead of having it on a Tuesday or Wednesday, they will have it on Friday, December 6th.

You can purchase tickets to the event and Robin Thicke concert next Thursday October 17th HERE.-DocFB

Diagnosis:  Since Macklemore & Lewis are "indie" artists, expect them to get a slew of nominations so the Grammy's seem to be in touch.  As for how much they actually win, tune in Sunday January 26th, 2014 to find out!

Diagnosis: They need a break out star this season or this show is done. Officially....

Video: Taylor Swift Gets Her KISS On With Keith Urban

While Keith Urban was performing and expecting Taylor Swift to come out for her duet, her and her band came out in full KISS garb.

Wowsa! Look at Keith's expression. Classic.

Is Prince The Real Number #1? The Numbers Don’t Add Up

I've had thoughts about this all day.  There are a few points I am going to make right now.

ITEM #1: Prince is #1 in Retail Sales

Prince sold more physical albums than Urban!

Without digital sales, Keith only sold 134,338 making Prince #1 in retail stores.  To me, that is kind of press-release worthy to get out there.

Also...IF Prince added his digital sales from his own web site www.lotusflow3r.com to the mix, he may win the "all in" numbers..depends what he sold digitally.

Keith Urban's album this week:

·         PHYSICAL 134,338
·         DIGITAL 37,209
·         TOTAL: 171,547

ITEM #2:  Capitol Records (most likely) Made Urban #1

OK, hear me out on this because this happens a LOT!  What most likely happened is that Capitol Records was VERY motivated (for many reasons) to deliver a # 1 ranking to Keith Urban.

Seeing they were only 3,000 units behind the #1 spot, they "did what it took" to ensure the win.

Now, it's only a theory but it is probably correct.

If they would have lost by such a small margin (3,000 units) some vice president would have lost their job.

When it is that close...you can go out and buy the units at a retail store or better yet, Itunes, to ensure the win, and it would be worth the investment.

The downloads from his OWN site should count on this.  I have not seen a Billboard position this close in a while.  Something is just NOT adding up!-Dr.FB

Prince’s Lotus Flow3r Blooms At #2

Prince's new 3 cd set Lotus Flow3r debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 with about 168,000 sold, although Hits Magazine had Prince at number 1 with almost 20,000 more copies sold.  Keith Urban outsold Prince by 3,000 copies if the numbers stay the same.Hits numbers usually always differ from soundscan, which is what Billboard and the public go by.

We are wondering where those 20,000 copies went or were they not counted.  It is an impressive debut but if those 20,000 copies were sold, the CD should be at number 1.

Perhaps what Prince said about the music industry is true and then Bria Valente actually lost the bet....

Billboard is the gold standard. Let me say this; Lotus Flow3er is Prince's best first week sales since 3121, which debuted at number 1 with over 180,000 sold.

The music industry is everchanging and Prince is still that dude challenging it, 25 years after his first number 1 album on Billboard.

Prince (and Bria), you may not have debuted at number 1 but you are number 1 with us.-Dr.FB

NOTE: Lotusflow3r debuted at #1 on the R n B charts and it is the #1 Indie Release.
