Nelly Furtado performed on Tuesday in Mexico City at Hard Rock Live and did a hit after hit set.  She talked about how her next CD will all be in Spanish. Isn’t that a huge risk?

Nelly had this to say about why her new CD will be recorded all in Spanish:

“The songs are all about amor. They are all about love, and it’s my first album with more love songs.  They’re really like songs that everybody can relate to about love and life and everyday living, just the things you go through. So basically, I found that once I started writing songs in Spanish, I had a new voice.”

I think half of her last CD in Spanish was a good idea. All of it? Killing half of her market.  Too bad she is not recording it in English is well. Me? I liked her stuff in Spanish and and if it is good, I will buy it.  I won’t rush out, but I will give it a listen.-Dr.FB
