Breakerbox. Christina DeNee’ and Scott Calandra are out of Buffalo, New York and may be a group that you have not heard of but that all changes now.
I get sent a lot of new music and new artists and a lot of them don’t click with me at first. Not Breakerbox. The first track that hypnotized me was “Miss You” and the lyrics are about something that everyone can relate to, perhaps some more than others.
Christina DeNee’s voice is different. It contains the raspyness of Pink on “Miss You” and the full on bravado of Lady Gaga with “Popstar”, Scott Calandra’s drumming is a perfect fit for DeNee. Scott produces compliments DeNee’s songwriting.
Their new music video “Nobody Gets Me” will be debuting shortly here and everywhere and I wanted to introduce you to them. I wanted to wait til the time is right to bring this group to your attention because I really like them and their CD I have been playing for months for my friends in my car while we drive around Los Angeles and they are digging on them as well.
I decided not to use promo photos of them but instead candid shots to show them at work and at play.
So, please do me a favor and give the tracks below, “Miss You”, “Lose Your Mind”, and “Popstar” a listen and let me know what you think.

The lovely and talented Christina Hendricks of “Mad Men” is on the cover of the New York Magazine wearing nothing more than a corset. In my opinion, you don’t really mess with perfection when you have a body that voluptuous.
Christina, however, may disagree. She wishes the media and people would stop focusing on her body and more on her acting ability.
“It kind of hurt my feelings at first. “Anytime someone talks about your figure constantly, you get nervous, you get really self-conscious. I was working my butt off on the show, and then all anyone was talking about was my body! It might sound silly, but I didn’t realize I was so different. I was just oblivious. Sometimes I would go on an audition and someone would say something like, Girl, you’re refreshing! That was it.”
Christina, you are a great actress, who just happens to have an amazing body and a body part that people focus on more. Girl, I can sooooo relate!
I mean, every time I get naked with a woman, all she talks about is how much she loves my ….. and how good it feels, and I have to tell them to stop. Can’t you just love me for my blogging skills or my pretty eyes? Sigh. Christina, I swear, we are burdened people for sure.
On a more serious note, you want people to stop focusing on your body? maybe don’t pose on the cover of New York wearing nothing but a corset because it makes it really hard to focus on your acting ability.-Dr.FB

Kesha or Ke$sha or Ke Dollar Sign ha was at the Alice & Olivia fashion week show and while she was there, set a record.
No, not for waking up in the morning looking like a slum bum, but for her song being #1 for 8 straight weeks on the charts that don’t matter anymore Billboard Charts Top 100.
It is the first time since 1977 that a female singer’s first single stayed that long at number 1. Whose record did she tie? Debby Boone. The song? “You Light Up My Life.” Yea, I never heard it either.
We are waiting for Ke dollar sign ha’s second single to see if she will be a 1 hit wonder or not. If I was her, I would not bet the $ in her name on it.-Dr.FB

Lady Gaga took over New York over the weekend performing 4 sold out shows and last night’s show, ALL the proceeds, ticket sales, merch went to Haiti.
Our friend, G, went to the concert. Now, G had passed on seeing Gaga before and did not really understand all the hype surrounding her. I am sure he rolled his eyes on how much I have covered her since her debut. Did last night change his mind?
”I take back every negative thing I’ve ever said about Ms. Gaga (aside from her mediocre song lyrics). She’s made me a fan!”
