Trent Reznor has announced that he is putting Nine Inch Nails back together with a new line-up and is planning an extensive tour that will start this summer.
The lineup will consist of Reznor, Eric Avery (Jane’s Addiction), Adrian Belew (King Crimson), and Josh Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv), along with previous NIN collaborators Alessandro Cortini and Ilan Rubin will tour with Reznor starting this summer and into 2014.
Here is Trent's statement below about NIN
Nine Inch Nails are touring this year.
I was working with Adrian Belew on some musical ideas, which led to some discussion on performing, which led to some beard-scratching, which (many steps later) led to the decision to re-think the idea of what Nine Inch Nails could be, and the idea of playing a show. Calls were made to some friends, lots of new ideas were discussed, and a show was booked – which led to another, which somehow led to a lot of shows.
The band is reinventing itself from scratch and will be comprised of Eric Avery, Adrian Belew, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Ilan Rubin, and me. The first shows will begin this summer, followed by a full-on arena tour of the US this fall, and lots of other dates worldwide to follow through 2014.
Lots of details and dates to come. See you soon.
This is very good news. Man, I am so excited about the year in music of 2013! This is hot.-DocFB

Oscar winner Trent Reznor is talking about his latest movie soundtrack "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" and has released 6 songs to listen to now.
Although the soundtrack is not out until December 9th, you can listen to 6 tracks clocking in at 35 minutes from it now at http://www.nullco.com/GDT/
Trent had this to say on the Nine Inch Nails official web site:
"For the last 14 months Atticus and I have been hard at work on David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. We laughed, we cried, we lost our minds and in the process made some of the most beautiful and disturbing music of our careers. The result is a sprawling three-hour opus that I am happy to announce is available for pre-order right now. The full release will be available in one week - December 9th."
I would recommend using the NIN web site if looking to buy the CD in advance.
It has been discussed in the past that Trent will return to work with Nine Inch Nails after his work with "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" has been completed.
"Immigrant" a cover of a Led Zeppelin classic done by Trent and Karen O' for the soundtrack comes free now with advance purchase.-DocFB

Here are some photos of the last ever(?) Nine Inch Nails show last week at The Wiltern. You know we would have our boy CB there to document it and he made it into the pit area. Hope you enjoy the pics.-Dr.FB
So we hear from several funkenberry readers that America's Top Model and all around hot like soup hottie Adrian Curry is in line at the Wiltern for the very last Nine Inch Nails show ever! Well the last one for at least a decade.
If Adrian is reading this or anyone in line, if you get a photo or two of her and her friend sometime today or tonight when she glams it up, we will post those photos tomorrow or late tonight.
Adrian, where's Brady boy anyway?-Dr.FB
