The “backlash” over Adam Lambert’s American Music Award performance continue. ABC has pulled him from their New Years Eve special and Jimmy Kimmel.

Adam says he is not mad at the network or Kimmel and says it is due to FCC pressure.  Adam will be performing on Leno later this month so obviously, NBC is either not feeling the pressure or is just not bucking down.

Maybe in hindsight, it wasn’t the smartest thing to pull what he pulled at the AMA’s.  It now seems the FCC has it’s new posterboy for wardrobe malfunctions by going after performers who go “off script” as they are calling it.

ABC will now have artists sign contracts they will stick to what they do during rehearsal. I champion artistic expression and this seems lame. It proves all it takes is one person to change things for everyone.  Sometimes, not the result everyone wanted.-Dr.FB

    This is apparently an ongoing vengeful witch hunt and to be honest, I think Disney/ABC will be the losers when all is said and done. We, Adam’s fans, believe that Adam did nothing wrong and we will not back down. We will boycott Disney, ABC and it’s sponsors until this ban is fully lifted… GO ADAM!!!

    This is absolutely absurd. I totally agree with what Adam said in that because he’s a gay man, he’s getting hit hard for this. If that was Britney Spears or some other woman doing what he did, all of this shit wouldn’t be happening, at least not with cancellations up the ass, no pun intended. These double standards are dead wrong. ABC, the FCC or whoever is really going way overboard with this and it pisses me off. And ABC is making performers sign that silly contract? Fuck ABC and the FCC.

    P.S. Remember the day when the WHOLE FREAKIN POINT of a live performance was to GO OFF SCRIPT???!!!! That’s why it’s called LIVE! DUH!!! You’re hoping something spontaneous will happen. Why even have these award shows anymore with the whole “live” tag. It’s a joke – – everything planned, everything premeditated, controlled, staged…dull…ugh!!!!!

    ya know, I am not a Lambert fan and I am actually starting to feel bad for him. I cannot believe the heat he is getting for this. As he said, he’s a performer not a babysitter. The violence, blood, guts, gore and crap that kids are exposed to constantly on TV is much more damaging. For god’s sake it was a kiss! How many girls have kneeled at the feet of a guitar player in a rock band simulating oral sex…this is such an overreaction. Why don’t we get our attention off who this guy kisses and focus on getting a few more child perverts off the street. Sheeeesh – – we have just gotten to be absurd in this country….what are we doing?????!!!!!

    Backfireage big time. Interesting.
    I don’t think the kiss has upset the powers to be as much as Adam trying to run before he could walk.
