13 Sep Video: Kanye West Performs “Runaway” At MTV Video Music Awards NSFW!

Now that he has this out of his system, maybe we can get the Kanye West performance of old?

I kind of wanted Jamie Foxx to come out and do a little bit of “Gold Digger” to kick it off.  There was so much tension during his performance.  I did like his matching shoes outfit.

Kanye really seems like an artist at war with himself, from his Twitter rants last week to this performance. 

Sometimes, simplicity rules all.  He wants everyone to know that moment last year should not define him.  Taylor Swift said the same the thing earlier in her performance.  With simplicity.

    Genius….pure Genius!!! last year i had mix feelings on what he did to Talor Swift. i was like what a jerkoff and what a scumbag! then i was like wait a minute that was Genius. i had no idea who Talor Swift was until he pulled that pormo. Now everybody and they grandmama knows her. thanks to the great Kanye and i watched it over and over nearly pissin myself cause then it was so hilarious!!! And now this!!! i ‘m trying not to laugh too hard cause i’m in the Miami Beach public library.

    Ok, what the fuck was that? After Taylor Swift practically makes Kanye out to be some victim, here he comes talking about giving props to douchbags, which to me, he must be talking about himself. No, I’m not feeling the song or the performance. It just reminded me of why I don’t like the “asshole”.

    I actually enjoyed his performance (sans the chorus). The guy is a talented entertainer, but I think he really needs some help emotionally. I don’t say that to sound mean, but just from the outside looking in it seems like he has a lot of baggage in his life that he doesn’t know how to deal with on his own.
