Wow.

As we posted yesterday, PRINCE & 3rdEyegirl have been rehearsing an instrumental version of “Even Flow” by Pearl Jam for The Myth this Saturday in Minneapolis.

This version features a guitar duel between PRINCE & Donna Grantis that morphs into Aretha Franklin’s version of “Rock Steady” before reprising the end vamp of “Even Flow”.

Well, as promised, we were able to grab a snippet of PRINCE & 3rdEyeGirl rehearsing “Even Flow” by Pearl Jam, which you can listen to below!

For apple users, listen below!

Thoughts? Please keep the rehearsal sample here for copyright reasons. It is appreciated. Thank you.

You can purchase tickets to the Myth Saturday shows below

Early Show

Late Show

If the rumor of The Myth shows becoming one long show happens, we will let you know. Thank to Jon Bream for the shout on that btw.

Thanks to PRINCE & 3rdEyeGirl along with NPG Records for allowing us to share this with you exclusively.-DocFB

    Anon,
Riffing on a well known guitar lick during a live performance is a little different from a full blown cover, no?

Especially a cover put on an album for sale….

It would be nice to get more than a snippet, not everyone gets to go see him live. I will probably never get to see him but would love it if he would put a dvd together with a bunch of his live performances or at least let us buy some of the songs. Already bought the ones of 3rd eye girl but would buy just about anything he came out with. ALWAYS love me some PRINCE and by the way Happy Birthday to the best musician ever!!!
