Beyonce is covering "Back To Black" by Amy Winehouse. The song is from "The Great Gatsby" soundtrack and features Andre 3000.
I want to like it. I really do. It is good...but not as good as Florence And The Machine's "Gatsby" song or Lana Del Rey's contribution. Maybe knowing that Jay Z is producing the soundtrack and that Beyonce appears on it makes me critic it more than I should. Maybe it is because that Amy's version is more powerful. It is a great tribute, but I take it as nothing more.

80's Canadian rocker Bryan Adams is now a celebrity photographer and the first posthumous release from Amy Winehouse is a shot he took.
We are told Bryan has an "unlikely" friendship with Amy and he ended up taking photos of her for some campaigns before he untimely death.
His photo made the cover of Lioness: Hidden Treasures album which comes out in early December.
It seems "The Summer Of 69" singer and Amy have been friends since at least 2008 and he refuses to talk about her at all and their friendship.-DocFB
Amy's blood alcohol level was 4 times the legal limit, according to the coroner's report. The labeled it as "Death by misadventure" and drugs did not play a part.
Winehouse's family has already released a statement:
"It is some relief to finally find out what happened to Amy. We understand there was alcohol in her system when she passed away, it is likely a build up of alcohol in her system over a number of days."
"The court heard that Amy was battling hard to conquer her problems with alcohol and it is a source of great pain to us that she could not win in time. She had started drinking again that week after a period of abstinence."
"It underlines how important our work with the Amy Winehouse Foundation is to us, to help as many young people and children as we can in her name."
"It means a lot to us and from the overwhelming messages of support we have had since Amy died, we know she meant a great deal to people all over the world. We want to thank everyone for that and for their continuing enthusiasm for the Foundation."
In some weird way, I do not feel closure in knowing how Amy died. I am not sure Amy's family does as well. The thing is, we lost a talent whose death may have been avoided.
When Amy passed, this song was playing in my head and I want to share it with you now.
Here is "Miss You" by Breakerbox. Miss you Amy.-DocFB
Diagnosis: Addiction...sometimes...is stronger than Love....
Amy Winehouse would have been 28 years old today. It is just a reminder at how young we lost Amy.
We remember her with some just released footage of recording with Tony Bennett and Amy talking about working with "Ton" on the song "Body & Soul" earlier this year.
Seeing this makes me sad. It shows, however, that her music will live on through us and through others that will be inspired by her music.-DocFB

Adele took to the stage not with a million background dancers, not with any fireworks, but just her voice to perform "Someone Like You" at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Adele got a standing ovation for just putting the focus on music. Not her look, not her being provocative, but just for singing. It gave us a hope that perhaps video did not kill the radio star, but there is talent like Adele out there that is not image, that actually has substance. Adele is beautiful.
I listen to Adele and it gives me hope that there is real singers out there, just yearning to be heard. We need to take care of this woman. Not like what happened to Amy Winehouse. You know where I am coming from.

"Results indicate that alcohol was

Very interesting. Where are the people who said drugs would be found in her system?
Amy Winehouse died a month ago today. Some people said they were not shocked by her death, but we wonder how they feel today. Someone's daughter died. That is how we reported it. Regardless of her troubled past, we never assumed it was drugs.
In all honesty, it really doesn't matter. It is not going to bring this talent back. Perhaps it will show in the future, until you know what happened, chill n see what actually is the case.-Dr.FB
