I'm sure by now you have heard about Trayvon Martin being shot and killed for wearing a hoodie. Trayvon was unarmed but the person who shot him said he looked dangerous. The killer has yet to be arrested for killing Martin.
I've been trying to think of a way to honor Trayvon and at the same time, a way for our voices to be heard and not being ignored. I've come up with an idea and I hope you guys can do it and share it.
Please take a photo of yourselves or family wearing hoodies and put it as your Facebook & Twitter default pictures. I have already done that on the Facebook Fan Page of the site & my Twitter account.
Also, please send in your photos in your hoodies and we will feature it on the web site.
Email the photos to TMhoodiepics@gmail.com and we will feature it on the site.
More importantly, let's take the photos and use it as our default picture on social media web sites.
Let's do this for Trayvon and to make sure no other kids are shot and killed over a piece of clothing.-DocFB

Well, well, well. Rihanna has done something that Lady Gaga and her little monsters haven't been able to do yet; crack over 40 million likes on Facebook. That makes her the most popular female on Facebook. Eminem leads all with 43 million. She is ahead of Gaga by a little over a 100,000.
It has been some week for Rihanna as she is replacing Megan Fox for Armani's lingerie line as a spokeswoman, and now this.
Rihanna tweeted this after the announcement; 40 mil! 1 LOVE #RihannaNavy"
Speaking of Twitter, Rihanna has 6 million followers compared to Lady Gaga's 11 million, so Gaga is still the Queen of Tweets.-Dr.FB

Facebook: 750 Million & Growing
Wonder if Justin Timberlake and his Myspace peeps along with Google+ are about to do a spit check. On the news that just under 6 million people deleted their facebook page (Although you can't really delete it) they announced they have over 750 million people with Facebook pages.
They are like the McDonald's of the Social Networks...although if Facebook was serving burgers, I actually might eat theirs. It really is only a matter of time where it should just say "Facebook: Billions & Billions Served" as their tagline.
Mark Zuckerberg had this to say as they did not really want to release how many members they have:
"The metric of the last five years was about user growth. The driving narrative of the next five years is not about wiring up the world, but what cool stuff (apps) can you build with this wiring in place."
"We did not report 750 million because we do not believe it is the metric."

Funk legend George Clinton has been hospitalized. This is coming from Bootsy Collins who had this to say on his Facebook Page;
Okay funkateers, our Captain of the Mothership has been hospitalized. Ineed yall to send up smoke signals, love vibes, prayer's whatever you got, because our great Dr.Funkisien needs us all right now, so stop what your doing and lay your hands on the radio and let the vibes flow through. The funk not only moves it Re-Moves, Dig! Thanks! Bootsy!!!

Sheila E. Bowls to Raise Money For Japan Disaster Relief
Sheila E. asks for divine intervention with her bowling score
On Wednesday night, Sheila E. hosted an impromptu "Bowling for Japan" fundraiser at Corbin Bowl in Tarzana, CA to benefit disaster relief efforts in Japan. Fans found out about it through Sheila's Facebook and Twitter announcements earlier in the day.
Those who attended were treated to $1 bowling to help drive donations. There was a great turnout for the event. The Doc had a good time meeting Sheila E. and other celebs who were in mixing with the regular folk.
Word from the event was that Sheila blew away the crowd with her bowling skillz - no wonder she likes these bowling fundraisers! And haven't we seen that pose somewhere before - like on tour with Prince as she descends on the lift after Glamorous Life? Sheila's got all the showmanship...
Sheila tweeted this out last night:
"Just got home from the bowling 4 hope fundraiser, thx 2 every1 4 coming out & supporting. U have all helped save lives with ur donation" @sheilaedrummer

Elizabeth Edwards Passes Away

She knew her time had come but it still does not make her death less sad. Elizabeth Edwards, former wife of Presidential hopeful John Edwards, has passed away at the the age of 61.
Doctors recently told her to stop cancer treatment. Edwards has been battling cancer through the years. She posted a message on her private Facebook page last night that stated;
"The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered. We know that. And yes, there are certainly times when we aren't able to muster as much strength and patience as we would like. It's called being human."
"But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. And for that, I am grateful."
John Edwards, who was divorced from Elizabeth after being caught cheating with a younger woman, was by her bedside along with close friends and family.
