Harry Potter fansite Oclumencia.com.br once again has some of the first photos from filming that began early this morning in Wales. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson are on location filming the "Shell Cottage" scenes for the final Harry Potter installments Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2. Also on set were Helena Bonham Carter (who plays Bellatrix Lestrange) and Warwick Davis. Davis usually plays Charms professor Flitwick, but will also play the goblin Griphook in these scenes for Hallows.
In the photo above Grint on the right is almost unrecognizable, as he dons a wig and beard to play Ron Weasley in disguise for a daring break-in the trio will attempt at Gringotts Bank.
Half-Blood Prince isn't even out for another two months and I'm already getting excited for Deathly Hallows.
Faded Youth got their hands on some of the first photos of the Harry Potter Trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermione (Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson), from the set of the final two Harry Potter films.
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part I and II, are filming concurrently, at the Potter home base of Leavesden Studios, as well as in and around London, and in Scotland.
These photos are reportedly from scenes being filmed in Picadilly Circus, and more can be found here.
THIS JUST IN:
Not to be outdone, Brazilian HP fansite Oclumencia.com.br has released a TON of set pics from what are apparently the post-wedding scenes of the early chapters of Deathly Hallows. Minor spoiler: Those who have read the book recall that an idyllic summer wedding at the Weasley home (The Burrow) is violently interrupted by a raid of Death Eaters, and our three young heroes have to make a hasty escape to the streets of London. Have a look at our golden trio dressed to the nines below:
Tons more here where those came from.
Deathly Hallows Part I is set to be released November 19 next year. Part II is set for July 15, 2011.
The movie adaptation of the penultimate book Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince is due in theatres this summer on July 15.
Apparently, actor Jamie Waylett has been playing close attention in his Herbology classes at Hogwarts.
Waylett, who plays Slytherin goon Vincent Crabbe in the Harry Potter films, has been arrested for cultivating cannabis in his Camden home. Several reports are stating cops discovered $2,900 worth of mature plants growing under hydroponics in the young actor's bedroom.
Waylett's home was raided after police discovered eight bags of weed in his car.
A police spokesman said, “It was a pretty significant find. We are concerned the drugs in the car were all bagged up and ready to go. Work now needs to be done to establish how far down the line we are towards dealing.”
If convicted, Waylett could face a jail term of up to five years for possession, and up to fourteen for cannabis production. No word on how this could impact filming of The Deathly Hallows, the last installment of the Harry Potter series, which is currently in production and in which it is presumed Waylett is participating.
The 19-year old actor and a friend were released on bail pending further investigation.
French HP fansite L'Univers de Harry Potter has confirmed today with Domhnall Gleeson's agency that the actor has joined the cast of the forthcoming and final installments of the Harry Potter franchise in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows. Gleeson, son of actor Brendan Gleeson (who plays Mad-Eye Moody in the Harry Potter series), will be playing the part of Bill Weasley, older brother to Ron, Ginny, Fred, and George in the large, red-haired Weasley clan.
No word yet if the younger Gleeson will be in both Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has not even been released yet and Brazilian Harry Potter fansite Oclumencia already has some of the first set photos from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Today this photo surfaced, showing Daniel Radcliffe as Harry walking through a misty forest.
Filming of Deathly Hallows began at the end of February and is expected to last 14 months. The last book in the Harry Potter series is being split into two films, tentatively known as Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2, and will be released in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
Look for the big screen adaptation of the penultimate book, Half-Blood Prince, in theatres this July.
