Human Nature, the debut album from Caught A Ghost, is now out. The Los Angeles-based band will be celebrating with album release parties on both coasts - at L.A.'s Bootleg on Friday, April 4, and at NYC's Mercury Lounge on Tuesday, April 15.
The dates are part of Caught A Ghost's upcoming U.S tour, which will also include two free New York shows - Brooklyn Bowl (4/13) and Manderley Bar at The McKittrick Hotel (4/14) - and an evening at Schubas Tavern in Chicago (5/18). See below for itinerary.
Helmed by singer/songwriter/producer Jesse Nolan, Caught A Ghost also features drummer Stephen Edelstein and singer/percussionist Tessa Thompson, who has won acclaim for her acting roles in such TV series as "Veronica Mars," "Copper," and the upcoming Dear White People, which won The Jury Prize at Sundance this year. For its live show, the band morphs into an eight-piece outfit that includes a full horn section and much dancing. Caught A Ghost recently completed a US run supporting He's My Brother She's My Sister and a tour of Chilé.
#FlashbackFriday! "Human Nature" by Madonna!
"Human Nature" was from Madonna's 6th studio album "Bedtime Stories" released in 1994. The single was released in June of 1995.
Surprisingly, the song only made it to number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, although it is one of the Doc's favorite Madonna songs.
I had uploaded the "Human Nature" remix by Howie Tee, because it is funky as doo-doo...BUT soundcloud sent me a copyright message that Madonna has it blocked....so I can't share it with U guys.
Diagnosis: Express Yourself don't repress yourself.
Michael Jackson would have been 54 years old today. Would have. Should have. Could have. I want to share with you one of my favorite versions of "Human Nature" remixed by Howie T.
We usually share this every year as we remember Michael.
I guess enough time has passed...or comedians have run out of jokes as the MJ jokes have returned.
It has always been about the music for me. Not the stupid estate drama or Janet with a cell phone for who knows why.
So on that note, check out the remix of "Human Nature" below and I hope to have more special Michael Jackson stuff posted through the day....-DocFB
Madonna. Madonna. Madonna. Pulling out tricks from 20 years ago...and we still fall for it. Oh well, if insulting Lady Gaga doesn't get you attention, flash a titty and see if that does it for you.
At a recent concert in Istanbul, Madonna performed "Human Nature" and in mid-performance pulled out her 53 year old breast to show the world. It is much better than looking at her hands but still.
We find it interesting that she said at the Super Bowl, she would not be pulling out her breast as it is cheap, and noted that she has done it before. Hmm. I'm sure the tour is selling well and everyone is talking about it right?

It has been 2 years since Michael Jackson died. 2 years since the entertainment world was rocked to its core. Michael Jackson, the biggest entertainer of all time, dead.
TMZ.com broke the story but because of most of its content, people did not believe it. CNN.com took hours to confirm his death. By the end of the day, CNN.com was not longer the most trusted name in news, but TMZ.com was.
Michael Jackson CD's sales skyrocketed. His death, made a circus as it took forever to bury him. Hoe many people have a funeral service at the Staple Center and still is not buried for weeks later?
Please share your thoughts and memories on this post. You can leave the email part of it blank, it will still accept your comment.

Diagnosis: Celebrate his life, don't mourn
Here is the video premiere on the site of "She Ain't You" by Chris Brown and it samples Michael Jackson's "Human Nature" and is dedicated to MJ.
I am digging the song but then again, it samples so much from "Human Nature" that could be why.
I like that Chris is focusing on his dancing, like Ne-Yo has been. I dig that aspect of it.

Diagnosis: Would MJ Be Proud?
Here is one of the highlights for me of yesterday's memorial service for Michael Jackson at the Staples Center.
It's John Mayer doing MJ's "Human Nature" and he did a superb job. Thanks John!-Dr.FB
