No Doubt Confirm No Tour; New Music Being Worked On!
No Doubt just confirmed DrFunkenberry's story of yesterday that No Doubt will not be touring this year while they work on a new album.
Our source is very much on the inside but we also confirmed with Live Nation so when we published the story, we would not have them denying our story even though it was true.
No Doubt released an official statement today from the studio:
Hi Everyone,
Greetings from the studio in Los Angeles...Yes, that's right, the studio!
While we were traveling the world last year promoting Push And Shove, Gwen mentioned she was inspired to write new music. In December, around the time of our hometown shows, we discussed the idea of starting 2013 by getting back into the studio together. We did so in January and the new music started flowing with unexpected ease. After spending three years recording the last album, this new pace feels incredibly exciting.
We have decided to follow our muse for the time being and focus on this new music that we don't want to stop. So, we will be postponing our tour plans briefly while we endeavor to create something special and inspired. Our goal as a band is to share this new music with you as quickly as possible - both recorded and live on tour.
As always, thank you all for your kind words, incredible support and patience. We promise to keep you updated with photos and videos from the studio, so be sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram to get the latest updates. We will see you soon!
Love,
Gwen, Tony, Tom, Adrian
No Doubt
The good news in all of this is MORE new music from No Doubt. I just hope that Interscope promotes the next record better. Yes, I said it. No Doubt was everywhere from the Teen Choice Awards to Kimmel. Everywhere. Interscope dropped both balls on "Push & Shove" big time.
No Doubt also has to make sure announcements for singles, performances, and even photos from the studio get out first in other places besides their Facebook Fan Page, Twitter, and Instagram. As much as that hits the hardcore fans, it is missing the others and a chance for their audience to grow. The Facebook Fanpage is the worst for artists because with Facebook trying to use their own search engine, the information rarely hits google anymore. It is frustrating as a fan of No Doubt and good music.
Here is hoping for some great new music to come from No Doubt and here is hoping that Dr.Funkenberry and the No Doubt community can help with that new music. We all would LOVE to see that.-DocFB

Exclusive! No Doubt: No Tour!!!!
OK No Doubt fans, we have some bad news...and we have some good news. The bad news mixes in with the good news. No Doubt has decided there will be no tour in 2013.
Our source states that the band took a vote very recently and decided to stay in the studio working on a new album instead of touring behind "Push & Shove"....
We hear the writing and recording is going much smoother for them than on "Push & Shove" where it seemed like it took forever to find a groove. They do not want to mess with the cohesiveness that is taking place in the studio by doing a tour this year.
Earlier this month, a phantom date for a show by No Doubt showed up on LiveNation.com for Phoenix. Phoenix is a city that Live Nation uses as testers and does not usually mean a show is taking place there. It happens more frequently than you think.
Our source is extremely credible and I also contacted Live Nation to where they advised me that No Doubt showed up for a special Live Nation event earlier this month where Live Nation was told that No Doubt was leaning towards not touring and will decide on that in the coming weeks.
It makes perfect sense because as much as I LOVE "Push & Shove", the album just has not been selling as well as it should. The "Looking Hot" video getting pulled also did not help matters. I really wish I could have helped.
To the No Doubt fans and community, I am a HUGE supporter of No Doubt and did reach out to them to help with promotion of "Push & Shove" but there was no response. Still regretting every day running into Tony Kanal after the Van Halen show and being out of business cards. I would not post anything like this without having facts and sources to back it up.
I'm not sure when or if No Doubt will confirm the news I posted. I know just last month at Kimmel, Gwen said on stage "See you this summer" but plans have changed.-DocFB

Justin Timberlake: “I’m Ready” Justin To Release New Album in 2013
After releasing 2 solo albums in 10 years and countless movies, Justin Timberlake is ready to return to the music scene.
In a minute segment, Justin talks about his love for music, all while leading us into a studio which leads to him putting on headphones and letting an engineer and at the same time, us, know: I'm ready!"
Justin is letting it be known he will be releasing a new album "Soon" but no preview single or a release date for the album as of yet.
Timberland has been working with Justin in the studio from Mid-August last year til now. The album is rumored to have at lease 20 new tracks on it.
We will be looking forward to it. With new material from Prince, David Bowie, and now Justin Timberlake, it does look like 2013 is a going to be a BIG one musically.-DocFB
