The Supreme Court just handed down the decision that Doma is unconstitutional and equal marriage rights will be returning to the State Of California.
So straight people, gay people, baby blue people can be married again.
DOMA is unconstitutional as a deprivation of the equal liberty of persons that is protected by the Fifth Amendment. DOMA singles out a class of persons deemed by a State entitled ot recognition and protection to enhance their own liberty. The opinion and its holding are confined to those lawful marriages … The federal statute is invalid, for no legitimate purpose overcomes the purpose and effect to disparage and injure those whom the State, by its marriage laws, sought to protect in personhood and dignity. By seeking to displace this protection and treating those persons as living in marriages less respected than others … DOMA has been struck down. Opinion is by Justice Kennedy, joined by the four liberal Justices — Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan.
This will only impact California. The proponents of Prop 8 did not have the right to be represented in court.
Well it looks like you can have same sex marriage again in California. Couples of the same sex can resume getting married August 18th!

In a move that shocks no one, American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert was spotted leaving the Guys & Dolls night club in West Hollywood hand in hand with another man. Wow. We didn't see this one coming.
The talented singer, has been at the forefront of speculation about his sexuality where he was trying to not make it an issue during the Idol competition where he caught America's and the judges eyes for his style and flamboyance. Is it a big deal now that he is out? Does anyone care in the sense of making it a big deal?
I don't think it is going to cost him any fans and I am sure a certain celeb blogger will make it a bigger deal than it is and someone how tie it in to Prop 8 in California but I will let him do that.
Adam Lambert is talented whether he placed 2nd in the contest or first and his sexuality had nothing to do with it. Hopefully, with him now being officially out, we can concentrate more on that.-Dr.FB
Prop 8 goes to the Supreme Court Today. Will it be upheld? Will it be overturned?

In the most interesting six degrees of seperation, or in this case, 3, Perez Hilton has added more fuel to the already smoldering Gay Marriage issue.
Just recently, this huge ongoing debate has raised eyebrows with all celebs as it comes to equal rights.
Speaking of gays, talk show host Ellen had bisexual or confused star Lindsay Lohan appear on her show to discuss her lesbian relationship where she opened up about all things including her career.
On a side note, Prince's ex-wife got involved and posted on drfunkenberry.com's official facebook page after a tweet about Prince on his way to Ellen:
Manuela Testolini, Prince's ex-wife was the first to comment and stated:
Lindsay Lohan was interviewed as we reported earlier and not Prince. Her comments obviously stemmed from a New Yorker article from late last year that was full of misquotes as we pointed out. Perez Hilton even commented about those misquotes as well as Ann Power L.A. Times Interview.
It seems like this week with Perez Hilton's question to Miss California at the Miss USA Pageant about gay marriage has sparked fires everywhere. Even with Ex-wives.
