Radio stations across the nation are picking up on this performance of Coldplay performing "Fight For Your Right" by The Beastie Boys in tribute of the late MCA, Adam Yauch.
"We're sending all our love to the Beastie Boys."-Chris Martin.
"Fight For Your Right" was from the rap groups "License To Ill" and was the first ever rap album to hit number 1 on the Billboard charts.
What do think of Coldplay's tribute?-DocFB
Robin Thicke performed a tribute to Whitney Houston on The Ellen Show. The soul crooner performed Whitney's "Exhale (Shoop, Shoop)" in falsetto.
The singer said he became nervous during the tribute performance to the late singer. There was a point in the version, I was hoping he would use the bass in his voice but he kept it in his falsetto.
I like the version and we all know how hard it is to sing a Whitney song so I give Robin a pass and think it was a good tribute.
What did you think of Robin's version of "Exhale (Shoop, Shoop)?-DocFB
Nikka Costa opens up her box with a heartfelt message about Etta James before going into a cover of the late great singer.
Nikka has the voice and style to do Etta proud. Straight up, she can hang with Christina Aguilera big time. This time she covers "If I Can't Have You" and I am digging it.
If you are not already, make sure to subscribe to Nikka's Box for some straight funkiness.-DocFB
Katherine Jackson is reaching out to all musicians, rappers, and anyone who will perform at an event called MJ Forever, a tribute concert to her late son Michael Jackson. We have a feeling by the end of it, it will be Kris Kross performing with a special appearance by Vanilla Ice.
She has reached out to Kanye West, Jay-Z, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera, and Usher. So far, the only one to say yes is Cee Lo. Cee Lo agrees to everything though. Just ask how that Rihanna tour worked out with him dropping out due to "previous commitments" at perhaps Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles. What? He is the lady-killer, not the doc killer.
Katherine is offering first class travel arrangements and is wanting each artist to perform 1-2 Michael Jackson songs. The event is to take place October 8th yet tickets have not went on sale yet. They said they are waiting for all the names to be announced for the event.
Most of the Jackson family is against this tribute concert. Us? If we are MJ fans, we are not even booking flights or anything. This event has as good of a chance as monkey's flying out of my butt.
What do you think? Will the event take place and what do you think of the invites being made public?-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: Is This What MJ Would Have Wanted?
This is really cool. Andy Allo posted on her Facebook Fan Page an acoustic version of "Love Is A Losing Game" by Amy Winehouse that her and Prince covered after Amy Winehouse's untimely passing.
It sounds like it is done backstage or recorded on the fly like "Guitar" was last week. There is nothing spoken about Amy but this is one of Prince's favorite Amy Winehouse songs that he has been doing live for years. In 2007, Amy Winehouse performed it with Prince during his record-breaking O2 run in London. This features Andy on vocals and Prince (?) on guitar as he is credited on the track.
Check it out:
Nice tribute. Amy. Sigh.-Dr.FB

Shania Twain and Taylor Swift joined together for a special CMT video to air during the CMT Awards June 8th.
Shania and Taylor teamed together for a "Thelma & Louise" tribute with Shania being Louise and Taylor being Thelma.
It is always nice to see Shania, who recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
We will have the full video on the site after it airs. 2 years ago, Taylor did a video with Lil Wayne where he named her T-Swizzle.-Dr.FB
