Now, before Chad gets mad at us, it is a known fact several “Dancing With The Stars” contestants have hooked up with with their set dance partners.

Perhaps Chad Ochocinco is just trying to take care of Cheryl Burke, who led Emmit Smith to a “Dancing” title, with the hopes she leads him to one as well.

Regardless, the 2 were spotted in Miami on Sunday having some lunch and joking with the paps.

Chad is not joking with Cheryl though.  He told her to stop complimenting him on his dancing so he will be harder on himself and not relax.  Straight up, Chad wants to win, weather it is on the football field or on the dance floor.

Late last night, Chad tweeted this: I  am having one of those damn lonely moments again damit!! Not even a damn cuddle buddy, my personal life sucks, I shoudve been a golfer.

Funny guy.  Makes me think maybe he is feeling something for Cheryl!   Don’t worry, some women were wanting to keep Ocho company after that tweet.  ;)   Cheryl even hit him up saying he was supposed to hang with her.  Hmm.

Hmm.  Sorry.  Was just thinking how good Chad would look in a….Dallas Cowboys jersey.  What?  Did you think I was gonna say in a ballet outfit, fool?  Come on now.  Good luck Chad!-Dr.FB

Video: Prince Attends Vikings-Cowboys Game

Posted in Celebrity Gossip, Celebrity News, Entertainment, Sports on January 17th, 2010 by drfunkenberry

It was bad enough that the Vikings whupped on my Dallas Cowboys today.

Add insult to injury when the baddest man on the planet, PRINCE was there with his protege Bria Valente and others in a luxury box suite.

Brett Favre and that “Purple Reign” defense put Tony Romo on his back more than Paris Hilton.  Shoot, Romo fumbled more balls than a midget porn star.

What can I say?  Congrats to PRINCE and his Minnesota Vikings along with Brett Favre.

Playoff football is alive..and it lives in Minneapolis.-Dr.FB

Jessica Simpson Still Supports Romo & The Dallas Cowboys

Posted in Celebrity Gossip, Celebrity News, Entertainment, Sports on January 12th, 2010 by drfunkenberry

Jessica Simpson. Photo: Famepictures.com

Moments after the Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles, Jessica Simpson tweeted “she never stopped rooting for the Cowboys” along with a picture of her wearing a cowboys sweatshirt.

Although Tony Romo and her split up earlier this year, Jessica and even her father Joe Simpson have not stopped supporting MY Dallas Cowboys.

One has to wonder what Jessica Simpson will tweet after the Dallas Cowboys play the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.  I know Minnesota loves their Vikings, and Minnesota, you know I got love for you big time.  However, you know this Sunday, I will be with team Simpson rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.

Here is a photo of Jessica returning back to Los Angeles on Monday. Man, she has some small wrists, doesn’t she?

Jess, if you are going to be in Los Angeles on Sunday, let me know.  I have a great place to watch the Cowboys at.-Dr.FB

Time Warner Cable Dropping Fox Shows?

I don’t know about you but for the last 2 weeks, my local Fox networks have been airing commercials that starting New Years, Time Warner Cable will be dropping all Fox network shows.

Fox wants to start charging for it’s local channels, which in Los Angeles, they have 2 and it would add up to about a $1.00 per month per cable subscriber.  Time Warner had a battle with Nickelodeon in 2008 and was settled after the deadline.  About 10 years ago, ABC and Time Warner got into it where Time Warner did pull ABC and ABC affiliated networks.

Time Warner has struck deals with everyone in the past but the NFL Network and in some way, this Fox deal has a lot to do with the NFL on Fox.

Fox owns DirecTV, which earlier this year renewed with the NFL to carry the games only on DirecTV.  This makes the 3rd time this decade that before the deal was over, it was extended to where Time Warner and other cable companies could not bid to get the NFL package.   This could be Time Warner not budging just in spite.

It makes Fox look greedy and no one in this economy is going to side with Fox if they knew what it was about.  But they don’t, which most likely has a lot of people signing up to keep Fox on Time Warner.

I am sure a deal will be in place before American Idol debuts it’s new season on Fox in mid-Janaury.  However, the bowl games and the NFL game that is expected to go to 80 percent of the nation this Sunday where the Philadelphia Eagles travel to play the Dallas Cowboys with the division and playoff positions are on the line, you just may not get.

The contract expires Thursday.  Whose side do you take on this; Fox or Time Warner?-Dr.FB

Thanksgiving…….

Posted in Entertainment on November 25th, 2009 by drfunkenberry

Hey everyone!

It’s been a while since I have done one of these and not because I did not want to. It has more to do with time, but enough about that.

So are you ready for Thanksgiving?  What are your plans?  Spending it with family? Friends? Flying anywhere? Going to the beach?

I am looking forward to sleeping in to be honest. Ha!

About 40 minutes before the Dallas Cowboys play the Oakland Raiders, I plan on hitting up either Subway or Quiznos and picking up a turkey sandwich and watch the game at home.  Hopefully, The Cowboys win and it will be a Happy Thanksgiving! ;)

I do plan on hanging with some close friends on Saturday night but that is about it.

I hope all of you out there have a great Thanksgiving, no matter what you do. Whether you celebrate it or not.

Much Love to you always.-Dr.FB

Sports Boxers & Briefs: Dodger Owners Separating

Frank McCourt & Jamie McCourt Separate. Photo: LATimes.com

As the Dodgers go into the 2nd round of the playoffs, the owners are about to go into a battle that could be just as hard. Frank & Jamie McCourt confirmed they are separating.

This has been brewing for a while but this is rather bad timing. Now, some focus will be put on this and people are questioning if this would be a distraction to Dodgers going against the Phillies. I don’t think it will.  Do players really go “oh man, my owner may be getting divorced. That may make it hard for me to hit the ball?” No, they don’t.

On a side note, Cleveland Brown quarterback for a hot minute Brady Quinn has put his home up in the area, causing speculation he will be traded. I am sure he got the heads up that they were making that decision and that is why he put it up for sale. Rumored teams interested are the Carolina Panthers & the Oakland Raiders. Ouch!

There have also been rumors about Terrell Owens getting traded to Chicago. I would take him back in Dallas. I think he has learned his lesson to keep his mouth shut in the locker room and the field and speak on your reality show only. Dallas is 3-2 without T.O. although the 3 victories are over teams that have a combined win total of 1. Buffalo I believe is 1-4 with T.O.-Dr.FB

Sports Boxers n Briefs October 12th

Posted in Entertainment, Sports on October 12th, 2009 by drfunkenberry

The Dodgers, Angels, Yankees, all swept their 1st round opponents in the playoffs while the Phillies took a 2-1 lead over the Colorado Rockies.

The Denver Broncos defeated the New England Patriots in an overtime thriller by 2 top teams. The Dallas Cowboys beat the Kansas City Chiefs in an overtime thriller as well, where Miles Austin in his first start racked up 250 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns. The Cowboys game should have never went to overtime. They are 3-2 with those 3 wins going against teams who are sub-par as well.

In honor of the Cowboys win, where they should have done what the New York Giants, and The Vikings did. Here is the full video calling out the Cowboys and Tony Romo.

“Looks like Dallas did not have a T.O. problem, they had a T.R. problem.”-Terrell Owens tweet shortly after the Dallas Cowboys lost to the New York Giants in the final seconds of last weeks game.

Tony Romo. Is he only good when their is nothing at stake? He went 13-3 2 years ago but lost in the 1st round in the playoffs and since then it has been a question if he can win the big game.  Monday night is only a big game for Carolina so nothing will be answered.

How about them 49ers? Said they would do well.

Upsets of the week, Atlanta over New England, Tennesse over the Jets, and Detroit gets their first win in over a year as I am picking Detroit over Washington.

Any thoughts on NFL week 3?-Dr.FB

2009 Emmy Awards & Winners….

Posted in Celebrity Gossip, Celebrity News, Entertainment, Television on September 21st, 2009 by drfunkenberry

emmysThe 2009 Emmy Awards were last night and hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, who I am sure did a great job.  Much better than not having a host like in Emmys past or having multiple hosts.

Will the ratings be higher or will have most Americans have been watching the Giants beat the Cowboys on NBC instead like I did? The Emmys were moved away from the Cowboy game, 1 week ahead but Viacom, who owns MTV and CBS did not want the MTV Awards and the Emmys on the same date, so it was moved back.

So, did you watch the Emmys last night? Even if you did or not, here is the full list of winners.-Dr.FB

NFL Week 2: Are You Ready For Some Football?

Posted in Celebrity News, Entertainment, Sports on September 20th, 2009 by drfunkenberry
NFL Logo

OK, so here we are week 2 of the season and time for me to make more predictions or what not…just for fun.

Let’s see if anything I said last week is true yet;

I said Tom Brady would be Tom Brady and he has. I said Donavon McNabb would get hurt sometime this season and Vick would start. Mcnabb is not playing tomorrow because he is hurt. Michael Vick, however, cannot play until week 3. I picked San Francisco to upset the NFC Champion Arizona Cardinals and they did. So far, you can call me butter because I am on a roll.

Now, let’s get to some questions? Are the Panthers that bad? Are the Eagles that good?  We will find out with Carolina this week but since the Eagles do not have Donavon, we won’t know.

The game of the week is Cowboys/Giants. It would have been Saints/Eagles if not for McNabb. Tony Romo and the Cowboys open the new Texas Stadium with over a 100,000 fans and the site of the 2011 Super Bowl.

Upsets of the week: Jags over Cards, Rams over Washington, and Baltimore over San Diego. (I really wanted to choose Miami over Indy tomorrow but since it is a Monday Night Game, I chose the Ravens.)

If the Jets didn’t talk so much smack, I woulda picked them to upset the Patriots. But talking smack about Tom Brady and the Patriots before a game is like breaking wind on a first date in the presence of your date; You. Just. Don’t. Do. It.

Again, this is all in fun and if you have anything you want to add regarding football and the games, please go ahead and do.

Bon Jovi still has not been announced as performers of this years halftime show. Let’s make it happen! Have a great Sunday and Go Cowboys!-Dr.FB
