Ricky Martin made his broadway debut yesterday in "Evita" playing Che' and he is the cover story for The Advocate where the latin star opens up about his relationship and his career success.
Martin spoke candidly and free about what attracts him to his lover;
“I think he’s so sexy. He’s very smart. That is such a turn-on. He leaves the house every day in a suit and tie and that is so sexy. It’s two different worlds — his and mine. I know as much about his world as he knows about my world, which makes it really cool.”
Martin also admitted he hasn't even read his book yet where he announced he was gay.
He did talk about his success and what type of people need to surround him;
“You have to be careful. It’s not easy to deal with fame. I’m very lucky to be surrounded by amazing people who are raw and honest, who will say I’m wrong, and who will also congratulate me.”
Ricky seems very grounded and humble. Here is hoping we are hearing more about him soon than reading about him.-DocFB
Ricky Martin is back.....and out. In his new video "Best Thing About You Is Me" he does not hold back showing he is out and he does not care.
It's not one of his dance tracks that made America fall in love with him in the 90's but it is catchy. "Don't say no, just say yes."
We are wishing Ricky success but not sure he will find it with this track. What do you think of Ricky's new track?-Dr.FB
Welcome to the latest edition of What's Up Doc? The Window Seat Edition.
Special shout-out to Jillian Barberie and Good Day L.A. for the shout-out they gave me on air this week.
This March was the best month ever for the site. Yes, we say that every month, but our audience is growing and for that, I thank you very much. Much love and keep it funky!~-Dr.FB
After years of not responding to the tabloid rumors that he is gay, Ricky Martin took to his personal website today to tell his fans, "I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am."
In his statement, Martin talks about what led him to finally set the record, ahem, straight:
Many people told me: "Ricky it's not important", "it's not worth it", "all the years you've worked and everything you've built will collapse", "many people in the world are not ready to accept your truth, your reality, your nature". Because all this advice came from people who I love dearly, I decided to move on with my life not sharing with the world my entire truth. Allowing myself to be seduced by fear and insecurity became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage. Today I take full responsibility for my decisions and my actions.
If someone asked me today, "Ricky, what are you afraid of?" I would answer "the blood that runs through the streets of countries at war...child slavery, terrorism...the cynicism of some people in positions of power, the misinterpretation of faith." But fear of my truth? Not at all! On the contrary, It fills me with strength and courage. This is just what I need especially now that I am the father of two beautiful boys that are so full of light and who with their outlook teach me new things every day. To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment..."
Rock on, Ricky. -Dr.FB
