In a move that was found out weeks ago and was a worst kept secret during that time, Gwen Stefani confirmed she will be a judge on the next season of "The Voice" and will appear on the singing contest show next week!
NBC was trying to hold off the news for 2 more weeks to announce for their Fall Line-Up but with "The Voice" having Gwen on the show next week, they announced it early. Well...earlier than the announcement leak from a few weeks ago.
No Doubt fans are conflicted about the news as it will delay a new album that has been getting worked on over a year and also that means no tour dates for the foreseeable future. Towards the season finale of next year though, "The Voice" could be a platform for No Doubt to release new music and even launch a tour on the heels of that. Time will tell and No Doubt fans will just have to be patient.-DocFB
Diagnosis: Doesn't really hurt to have Gwen on a high profile show like that. It is helping Adam Levine stay relevant and helped ressurect Christina Aguilara and Shakira of late.
On the heels of their dynamic performance on the NFL and Fox's Super Bowl LXVIII Tailgate pregame show, it was announced that sibling trio THE BAND PERRY will be advising Blake Shelton's team during the "Battle Rounds" on Season Six of NBC's The Voice.
Tune into the season premiere of The Voice, Monday, February 24, 2014 at 8PM EST / 7PM CST on NBC.
"Blake didn't have to ask us twice if we wanted to mentor his team this season on The Voice, " said The Band Perry. "It was so much fun to work with Team Blake, and after 15 years of receiving plenty of 'constructive criticism,' it was our turn to pay it forward. We just hope we were as helpful to Blake's team as our own mentors have been to us through the years."
Judith Hill, who has appeared on "The Voice" and The Michael Jackson film "This Is It" has signed a record deal and is about to go out on tour with Josh Groban.
Groban's "In The Round" Tour starts tonight at the Taco Bell (sic) Center in Boise, ID. Not only will Judith open for him, she will be performing 2 songs in his set with Josh; "The Prayer" and "Remember When It Rains." Judith actually sings backing vocals on 3 of Groban's most recent album "All That Echoes" and Judith will also go on her own headline tour this fall.
Praised by Rolling Stone for her "stellar powerhouse vocals," Hill has signed with Sony Music. In addition to penning and performing her own material, Judith - who wrote her first song at the age of four - has backed such artists as the late Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Elton John. Hers is one of the stories told in director Morgan Neville's acclaimed 20 Feet From Stardom, a film that shines the spotlight on the untold true story of the backup singers behind some of the greatest musical legends of the 21st century. Hill, who was also featured on the film's soundtrack, was a contestant on season four of "The Voice."
Hill's debut record will be available in early 2014.
The original cast of "The Voice" is back! Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera rejoined Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and host Carson Daly for production of the show.
The show will return on September 23rd at 8 P.M.-DocFB
Diagnosis: Who won last season's again? Did they deserve to win? Did it make a difference? OK then!
Adam Levine had 2 of his "students" eliminated from "the Voice" which made him declare "I hate this country" into his microphone. Said the comment because he was upset right? That is understandable...right?
Adam had this to say to the press:
"Being a part of The Voice, I am passionately invested in my team and want to see my artists succeed. Last night's elimination of Judith and Sarah was confusing and downright emotional for me and my comments were made based on my personal dissatisfaction with the results.”
"I'm sad . . . and a little pissed off, to be honest. I was shocked, actually. I think they all gave us really strong performances.
All of that is understandable.
Then Adam took to Twitter, the new place where people put their foot in their mouths and said it was a joke and people didn't catch the humor of it. Which one is it Levine?
In all honesty, one of the girls that was eliminated sand with Michael Jackson and is featured on the "This Is It" movie. She was the person who was supposed to win it all. If you watch enough of these shows, you get the one that is usually supposed to win it all, doesn't. Even if you hate this country or not.-DocFB
Diagnosis: It was a comment that wasn't worth defending, jokingly or not.....
Christina Aguilera is returning to "The Voice" as Shakira and Usher will not be returning to the show.
Although ratings have been down slightly, Shakira and Usher will not be returning. Shakira's reason is to spend time with her newborn child and Usher's is that he will be working on a movie.
Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will be joining Christina. Also, there is word that Cee Lo Green will be back as well.-DocFB
Diagnosis: Bad news for X Factor & Idol....
NBC have unveiled the first promo photos of Usher & Shakira for "The Voice" as they replace former judges Christina Aguilera & Cee Lo Green.
They will make their debut on March 26th as Season 4 of "The Voice" begins.
Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will both be remaining on the show.
Shelton spoke of Shakira and Usher become judges on the hit show;
"The dynamic has changed for sure. It's really fun."
Usher stated he brought out "Shelton's Inner MC Hammer". Um...OK then!-DocFB
Diagnosis: Please Blake, Don't hurt em!
