So I guess that whole let's replace Michael Hutchence with someone else on a reality show finally did not work out, did it? Surprised it took this long. Yes, the Australian rock group INXS has called it quits. It only took 15 years after Michael died for it to happen.
"It is time to step away" "We understand that this must come as a blow to everybody, but all things must eventually come to an end," founding members Tim, Andrew and Jon Farriss, Kirk Pengilly and Garry Beers said in a statement. "We have been performing as a band for 35 years, it's time to step away from the touring arena. Our music will of course live on and we will always be a part of that. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the friends and family that have supported us throughout our extensive career. Our lives have been enriched by having you all as a part of the journey."
The band made the announcement in concert where they ended a tour with Matchbox 20 and Rob Thomas of that group joined them for the final song and they announced it was the band's final show.
The band announced in October that they were going to be working on a new album. Something must have happened between then and now.

Diagnosis: I Need You Tonight & Mediate" Still Rock...
After a few weeks of stating she was leaving "America's Got Talent" Sharon Osbourne has made it official and stating the way NBC treated her son Jack who was diagnosed Multiple Sclerosis earlier this year.
Jack was in talks to star in the show "Stars Earn Stripes" and Sharon feels the network decided against Jack because of his illness.
Sharon stated on her reasons and the discipline she will receive for leaving "America's Got Talent";
“I just can’t be fake. It’s discrimination and it was badly handled.”
"All they can do is stop me from being a judge on another network for five years.
NBC is stating they never signed a contract with Jack and were just in talks.
It appears Sharon will finish out this season as judge on the reality show. Expect Howard Stern to bring it up on the show when it returns next week after the Olympics.-DocFB
In a move everyone saw coming, Jennifer Lopez announced this morning she is leaving American Idol. This comes less than 24 hours after Steven Tyler announced he was leaving the show.
The announcement was made on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, the only person still in American Idol's employee.
J.Lo remarked "We had an amazing run."
As we announced on Twitter yesterday, it is more than likely that Randy Jackson will not be coming back as a judge either.
This show is sinking.....fast! Let's be real; this show hasn't mattered since they chose Kris Allen over Adam Lambert.-DocFB
Tyler released this statement;
"After some long ... hard ... thoughts ... I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress ‘American Idol’ before she boils my rabbit.”
"I strayed from my first love, AEROSMITH, and I’m back – but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I’ve got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band. The next few years are going to be dedicated to kicking some serious ass – the ultimate in auditory takeover."
"On Nov. 6, we are unleashing our new album, Music from Another Dimension on the Earth, Moon, Mars, and way beyond the stars. IDOL was over-the-top fun, and I loved every minute of it ... Now it’s time to bring Rock Back. ERMAHGERD.”
At a press conference for the "Global Warming" tour, Steven stated that "We would not let you down" when it came to Aerosmith. It seems he knew that he would have to commit to the band full time.
As for Idol, there has been no ill will and wish Steven good luck with Aerosmith.
With Jennifer Lopez being non-committal about returning to the singing competition, Idol is in shambles yet again.-DocFB
