PRINCE & 3rdEyeGirl At The Showbox In Seattle Night 1 Set List, Reviews & Spreecast Recap
After 4 shows in Vancouver, PRINCE & 3rdEyeGirl took over the Showbox At The Market in Seattle to bring the funk & roll. They delivered.
Various reports on Twitter had PRINCE & 3rdEyeGirl sound checking "Dolphin" and "A Love Bizzare" at rehearsal.
During last week's PRINCE Spreecast, fans who attended the Vancouver kick-off shows came on camera to talk about their experiences. For those in Seattle, it would be great for you to join us for next week's PRINCE Spreecast, which airs every Wednesday at 7 P.M. Pacific Time.

PRINCE News!; Montreux, New Material, “L.O.L.” Video Release & Jimmy Fallon
Last night on the PRINCE spreecast DrFunkenberry hosts with Seth Everett, we talked about several news items that will be happening with PRINCE.
Here is an outline of the news discussed:
#1. That there will be a Jazz Fest Announcement coming...which has now happened as PRINCE will be performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
#2 The Smuk Fest. PRINCE agreed to play if they changes his night's name to "The Beautiful Experience"....
#3 The NPG drummer position is currently being occupied by Ronald Bruner Jr. aka RBJ, whose 2nd of 3 callbacks happens this week. After the 3rd, his position will then be determined. To join this band, there are several rigorous initiations that take place...the least of which is a personality analysis.
#4 Hannah Ford, Donna Grantis, & Ida Nielson are in the studio everyday recording new material with PRINCE. He is the primary songwriter but not the primary guitarist. PRINCE is every day gaining more confidence in Donna's talent and actually lets her take a bulk of the solos on the project. They have recorded about 14 songs and "Live Out Loud" will be released as soon as the promotional clip for it is finished. Check 3rdEyeGirl.com soon for that.
#5 Speaking of which: There still is no word as to the true identity of 3rd Eye Girl. It seems to be growing though. Photographers, web site designers, and film editors have been hired to work on several unnamed projects. There is work going on at The Park 24/7....that's for sure.
#6 PRINCE & his team have been in back and forth talks with the Jimmy Fallon show. PRINCE definitely wants to be on the week of the Carnegie Hall Tribute. (3113 cough cough 3113)
#7 FDeluxe sans Jellybean Johnson has been added to the line up for the Tribute.

Former Revolution Member Bobby Z. To Appear On Spreecast; More MyPurpleheart.Org Event Details!
We are very happy to announce that Bobby Z., formerly of PRINCE & The REVOLUTION will be joining Drfunkenberry and Seth Everett on Spreecast This Wednesday January 23rd at 10 P.M. Eastern to discuss MyPurpleheart.org's event on March 9th, PRINCE's Dakota Jazz Club Shows Last Week and take questions from the fans!

Bobby Z. & The American Heart Association present the 2nd Annual Benefit 2 Celebrate Life Event. The event will be held March 9th and will feature:
Princess featuring Maya Rudolph (SNL, Up All Night) and Gretchen Lieberum, followed by a celebrity-filled concert featuring Questlove, Andre Cymone, Dez Dickerson, Dr. Fink, Alexander O'Neil, Stokley of Mint Condition, and more surprise celebrity artists.
Bobby Z., best known for being a member of PRINCE & The Revolution and starring in the blockbuster Grammy award winning and Oscar Award Winning movie "Purple Rain"-was in critical condition after having three blocked arteries cause a heart attack in February of 2011. Doctors were able to open his blockages with three stents which has allowed Bobby to make a full recovery.
"Life is completely different now," Z said. "Every moment has a new appreciation. I'm so honored and thrilled to be able to give back and hope that my story will help raise awareness and save lives. This will be an intimate and fun show with music and stories."
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Bobby's "My Purple Heart" organization and the American Heart Association for continued heart-health education.
General admission is $65.00 and VIP admission is $150.00 VIP admission includes entry into the VIP party starting at 6 P.M. with apps, commemorative photos and a chance to meet and mingle with Bobby Z. and some of the celebrity performers.
