I got used to Randy and Paula and believed they did the show justice; now Simon, took a lot of getting used to and felt he intentionally tried to stress these poor kids immensely. When Ellen came, Kira came I felt neither fit solo but together with the other panel they did a farely decent job, Ellen poor thing seemed way out of her league. Now Jessica S. or Chris I. I am not seeing either of them bringing in much. Once Randy, Paula and Simon they actually fit. With always another to balance out Simon's ill or rude behavior. I am not sure I like Mr. Facelift litgow. He used to be a fair man now he seems a little to caught up in his own drama to be a fair judge of anyone else. But what do I know the producers will do whatever Simon says.
This was rumor as of yesterday as Ellen was under contract for 5 years and would have to quit if Nigel Lithgow, the producer of American Idol, who has returned to the show, was going to make changes to Idol.
So in a Tweet, Ellen said
"Dim the lights...I've voted myself off American Idol."
It followed with this released statement:
I watched some of last season with Ellen and I thought it was refreshing to see a new face and hear a different point of view. With Randy, Kira and Simon leaving I won't watch any of em, not even the auditions, which were always a trip to watch. I like Nigel because I watch "SYTYCD" but, it wouldn't be the same and I'm just a casual viewer ...
hmmmmm....Jessica Simpson? Chris Isaak? this is starting to look more and more like a panel of has-beens..........I mean, had you ever heard of Simon or Randy before A.I.? And Paula was already a has-been..........Ellen made the right move and I bet she hated that show since it is more about recording contracts than real talent.......makes u wonder why Prince ever per4med on that show
After Paula left. AI was never the same to me. Now that Simon is gone it will never ever be the same. As much as I like Ellen I never liked her on the show. So I think she made a wise chose...
