Here is the latest rehearsal jam from PRINCE & THE NPG. We have been waiting to share this with you and now, we finally can!!
As we first told you about late last week, this is Prince’s musical response to Terry Lewis asking if Prince needed an opening act for his upcoming Australian Tour and was also sent to Paul Peterson of Fdeluxe (Formerly The Family) before anyone else.
We promised you that it is hot, funky, dirty, and will leave you in puddle of sweat.

As we said over the weekend, Janelle Monae and Deliah are possible opening acts for Prince’s “Welcome 2 Australia” leg of the tour. Will anyone else be coming along?

Posted at 05:09h, 24 AprilOh and by the way, with regards to the two “rehearsals”, it’s good/great to hear something from Prince, but unfortunately as with 98% of what he does these days there is no spontaneity in the music itself and certainly no SOUL in the music anymore, just a shell. Reheasals are supposed to be just that – warts and all – not finished works which these two sound like.

It needs to be more raw and rougher around the edges.
I hope sending this music to the time and the family was meant as an invite rather than sticking it to them.
The Aussies will have a well deserved funky good time in May. Enjoy!!

not mine, just boring plastic music, but hey, thats what the fans deserve. we have 2012 and most of modern-so-called-music sounds like plastic.

I’d like some imperfection with a soul like you had with The Revolution or that ’88 band. Ever since you invented the NPG thing, it’s been too polished, too much hunting for perfection and effects..
